Maybe he just wanted to get out of there after getting yanked. Among everything else he's feeling, he's probably embarrassed at his performance. Sitting a few games might be the best thing for the young man.
Exactly. Plus I guess people are just ignoring the fact that Etling himself said Harris was being very supportive of him! I guess they think he was lying.

I hope Harris realizes he can actually learn by watching from the sidelines instead of pouting on the bench. His career isn't over unless he chooses to do the latter.

I believe Harris had the 5th highest QB rating in the SEC last year. If Etling doesn't go above 5 for the year.

Will you guys start making threads about he is a terrible QB?

Where did I say Harris was terrible? Unless maturity is now part of QBR.

Get off his damn back. 90% of the Rant would've acted worse than he did. The ironic thing is that most of you would be calling him an "outstanding young man" or "an incredible leader" if he played well. It's sad you allow a guy's play to dictate how you judge his overall character like some dumbass. He was benched for possibly a better option. Case closed.

Not sure if you're serious........ I hope not.

If he doesn't have the same numbers as Harris and they are not as good will you feel the same way about him as you do Harris is my question?

Champ, hate to break it to you, but he already showed he's better than BH. Sometimes you just have to let it go, no ones fault, no reason to get upset about it. I'm sure everything will work out fine for BH. Seems like a good kid with a bright future

Believe it or not, it's not that simple. I don't care about numbers as much as results. For now, Etling has earned a shot to lead the Offense. Harris had that shot and failed to move the ball effectively.

How has he proven it?

0/6 for Etling passing in the 2nd half is sure proving something.

Or is their another reason? Come on spit it out

You and DBU really seem to not like Etling.

Wonder why.

I like the kid and I think he has a ton of talent, but he does need to grow up and learn to relax on the field. His immaturity can and will be fixed. He also tries to be perfect and he ends up trying to hard.

I hope he does grow up and becomes a great QB.

Etling was asked after the game how he felt when, after he came in, he led the Tigers on three straight TD drives and he says: "the same way I would have felt if I was on the bench-I just want to win."

Can't fault him for running off... He was mad and disappointed at himself.... It's not something I'd make a big deal about... He will be back... This might work in his favor... I don't think it's bad qb's LSU is recruiting.. .. it's more of coaching and developing qb's at LSU....it's been a problem at LSU since Miles has been here....

Yep. Harris is a LSU Tiger, no need to bash the kid.

Race-baiting mofos in here. I loved Davey over Booty and also liked Jennings. Had no use for JJ though. Verdict is not in on Harris ... let's see how he responds to getting benched.

Sorry if Harris doesn't fit your type of QB and lifestyle.

Harris will get another shot. He needs to keep his head on straight because I could see les bailing on etling at the first sign of trouble against auburn.
