Give us the lineup and the pitching order (Starter and first out of the pen) for tomorrow to try and take this series.

I would hope that the Bats can win the game because I would expect the Pitching to give up at least 6.

Dugas
Morgan
crews
white
Beloso
Travinski
Jobes
Jobert
Thompson

Start Guidry
Coleman out the pen (if his arm is ok)
Herring after that.
Collins
Money (hope we’re up 10-1 by then)

Money starts. Give up the inevitable homer early. Try to get 5 or 6.

Guidry - ride him, preferably finish the game.

Herring and Coleman are the only other guys who see the mound.

No magic bullet but I would have Morgan at 1st base. Jones can sit or dh.

ETA: huge upgrade at 1st and should upgrade in lf

And downgrade a bat on a team that needs to score runs to win.

Anything is an upgrade over Jones’ inability to put the ball in play.

Sort of sad situation but yeah I would take it. Not like jones is too good a hitter.

Name them.

This isn’t a trick question.

Go look at our roster and pick the replacement

I’d start Herring. Guidry is first out of the pen.

Dugas
Morgan
Crews
White
Beloso
Travinski
Thompson
Jones
Kling/Jobert

Jones can’t hit a breaking ball and is in a serious slump. I’d ponder putting Morgan at First with Jobert and Kling in OF and sit Jones a game.

For starters, cooper doesnt come in unless we are up by 8 runs in the 9th

Agree cooper doesn’t need to pitch until the game is out of hand either way

Dugas - 2B
Morgan - 1B
Crews - CF
White - 3B
Travinski - C
Jobert - RF
Jones - DH
Thompson - SS
Pearson - LF

If Johnson wants to roll the dice, maybe Travinski at DH and Milazzo in the lineup instead of Pearson.

Money 3-4 IP, Herring 2-3 IP, Guidry whatever remains. Ackenhausen and Coleman in reserve if they aren’t able to get that many innings from Money and Herring or Guidry isn’t able to close it out.

The problem that is causing issues with the line up is our our left handed hitters are struggling. I would prefer to have Travinsky up in the line up but you can not do it because the top of the order would get exposed to pitching match ups. Beloso or Jobert have to hit behind White and they are not lighting it up to say the least. Jones can’t hit anything that curves but who else you gonna put in there.

Pitching Fri Skenes Sat Floyd Sunday Guidry
Coleman First out of the pen

Yeah, he’s only hitting .322 with 25 extra base hits (more 4-baggers than 2-baggers by the way) with 44 walks, the same walk rate as Pearson, 4 sac flies, and an OBP of .443

We need more .400 hitters with 20+ HR.
