"You have to be realistic and consider other factors like how far away you are from graduating. Also consider talent in the draft around you," Scott said.
"These two decisions are very strong," Miles said.

Miles said Ricky Jean-Francois is and Brandon LaFell is certainly weighing his options. A big decision like this is made by family, friends and support systems.

2:22: Miles thinks LaFell will make a decision shortly. He said "in the next four days," but tomorrow is the deadline for underclassmen to declare. Miles went on to say the team has plenty of strong leadership to be a "very capable football team" next year.
ETA: np, wish i could get the score going on my comp tho

So LaFell still is undecided?
Posted on 1/14/09 at 2:24 pm to thunderbird1100
My guessing is he is about as "undecided" as RJF is ... they're going, they're just not ready to officially say it

I know this can be sketchy info, but Lafell's last facebook status from today said "Brandon Lafell is undecided." I'm not disputing the other info out there, just saying that's the latest on his fb page.

2:27 "For a while it seemed like 11 wins or better [in a season] was the rule. The schedule will change in the spring. We won't start right away. We have some defensive coaches that we will allow to get used to things. It will be a better approach for us in this spring," Miles said.
well, maybe he is undecided, but my guessing is he's leaning toward going ... but then again a few more WRs are declaring so

leaning toward going
Leaning towards going is alot different than all reports saying he's gone. I think they are a bit premature.

That is a very good rule.

2:30 Miles addressed the recruits who have come to campus early- Russell Shepard included:
"Right now today, the have books in head, their heads turned on backwards, asking the upperclassmen where they're going [to find classes, etc.]. Football is the furthest thing from their mind. But we look forward to having them contribute."

very true, WWL tends to jump the gun a lot lol
but, then again, these guys may need new friends/confidants if they're gonna keep saying they're leaning toward going, bc Schad's gettin his info from someone

I'm impressed that Scott is taking his graduation date into account. You don't hear players talk about that much when deciding to stay or go. And with 30 hours left he can be done by December.

2:32 Charles Scott consulted Jacob Hester when he was making his decision. Hester told him to consider where you're going to go and to make it a personal, family decision.
Ciron Black said Glenn Dorsey told him it was a personal decision to enter the draft. Follow your heart, follow your coaches, and don't have any doubts, Dorsey told him.

2:34 Regarding Brandon LaFell's status:
"Certainly there would be a great need for wide receivers. That position is maturing, and we'll need to bring in guys whether he goes or stays."

Miles dodged the question about how he plans on using RS.
