I can see it. When you consider Pete Carroll's success this decade, when you consider the quality of recruiting and depth... why wouldn't you consider them highly ranked? Their schedule and the Pac 10 is still winnable for them.

Point taken, but 4? Not to say that, as you said, beating the Pac 10 isn't that hard of an assignnment, but I think if you lose all that, its only because they are USC that they are that high. I just get tired for the never ending love affair with USC.

Well they finish every season ranked in the top 5, despite replacing all kinds of stars. I think at this point Pete has earned the benefit of the doubt.

The irony is why it is funny...if we win.err...when we win another Natl Champ in the next few years, there will still be those claiming it was because of Saban...so if OSU wins a Natl Champ...we can claim it was because of Miles' rebuilding of the OSU program?

They finish in the top 5 every season b/c they play in the Pac 10, win the conference (w/out having to play in a conference championship game), then they get to play in the Rose Bowl against the champ of the Big 10.

Give LSU a weak conference, no conference championship game, the tie in to the Sugar Bowl, & guess what, LSU finishes in the top 5 every year too.

Just saying that usc receives an awful lot of love for being in such a 2nd rate conference, of course they dominate, & it ain't hard to recruit to southern california either, especially when you are THE school in the conference & get all the love that they do. Pete Carroll is a very good coach. I ask you this, what would his record be if he were in the SEC?

G E A U X T I G E R S!!!

04 and last year too?
They could not win the Cap 1 bowl in 04. Last year. No!

I wish USC could play in the SEC. You might want to make sure you can handle Vandy (no disrespect intended) before you say anything about LSU. You need to crawl before you walk

Did you forget the outcome of the other SC vs. SEC games? 23-0,21-17(close), 70-17, and 50 to something.

I'm not saying these are Florida type teams but they're sure better than Vandy. I think SC has shown it can "walk" with the big boys.

And hell yeah, I'd love to see at UGA SC match up!

Yeah that was a "slight" exaggeration on my part . UGA vs. USC would be one hell of a game! I would love to see that!

Winning with Les' players! They'd all have to be red shirt seniors for that to be the case, just like Les is now winning or losing with his own players. Seems to me OSU took a big step up with Gundy, and we took a big step down with Les. Both programs will have a real good idea of what they have this year.

Les is 4-0 in Bowls, with a SEC title and MNC title, and Gundy has won? Oh right, one good year because he found a QB and WR..imagine that?

OSU didn't beat UT, OU,or TT the 3 best teams in the conference last year..

While they do have a nice flare in offense...they haven't arrived, and never will for any length of time because they are OSU.. OU's little brother

GT is a decent schedule away from contending for the BCS title.

WTF, they play in the ACC with the tougher teams at home. They are making a big deal out of playing 3 SEC teams, but two are Vandy and Moo State. How much more decent can the schedule be?
