Playing in the PAC-10 is not necessarily good for USC. They lose one game in conference, no way they get to the NC. We lose in conference, then we're still alive because we play in a tough conference. It's really a double edged sword. They have to be perfect. We don't.
And to parrot others, the "clone army" jokes aren't exactly an exaggeration. Even if they had to replace all 22 starters I would still put them in somewhere in the top 25.

I can see it. When you consider Pete Carroll's success this decade, when you consider the quality of recruiting and depth... why wouldn't you consider them highly ranked? Their schedule and the Pac 10 is still winnable for them.

The PAC is winnable for UHigh. The only reason that our weather moves from west to east is the ACC sucks worse than the PAC. But just barely.
