The numbers are indeed dropping and especially notable is the hospitalizations which are showing marked reductions. This is huge.

What the concern is right now is that schools are opening and LSU in particular opening. It will take a week to know the impact that this has on the numbers. If they tick up, as many predict, there is going to be a big announcement next week. It will likely be bad news for LSU games and gatherings in general.

Would you be interested in the number of deaths or serious side effects for those that took the vaccine?

Sure man. Send me all the reputable info you can provide. I like to stay up to date as much as possible, it's part of my field.
quote:

Your media doesn't mention that.

I already told you I'm a doctor. I don't give two flying fricks what any news outlet has to say about anything.
quote:

If the media made issue out of deaths from regular flu people would lose it too.

You're right man, 34k deaths in 35 million cases is definitely the same as 620k deaths in 36 million cases. LINK

You clearly have your mind made up and nothing I say or link to will change that. It's ok to be wrong sometimes man, none of us are perfect. It's part of being human. But I doubt that will matter to you.

These people...they hear something to support their brainwashed agenda and they take it as fact. In their mind they aren't lying.

As I said, ironic...

Where are you seeing this? The numbers at the Lake haven't changed in a week. One dies or discharges and another takes their place.

Whatever man. I don't care what reason you think the mandates came back, what you think about their efficacy, etc. I just care about people getting vaccinated at this point. Had an old friend my age die recently; unvaccinated. My close buddy's dad is in the ICU intubated and might not survive; unvaccinated. So much unnecessary continued suffering and health care strain because of rampant misinformation and mistrust right now. Right now it seems like death or suffering of a loved one is the only thing convincing people around here to get the vaccine.

Not to argue with you, but can you really blame people for the mistrust? After all the things and bs that has come out over Covid? After all the politics behind it? Is it really so shocking that people are skeptical? I’m vaccinated. My wife is vaccinated. But I’m definitely not OK with people being forced to take a vaccine that hasn’t even been 100% approved yet. A vaccine that we don’t know the long term side effects. Skepticism isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

And.... those were their own personal choices. Is this not America? Do we still get to choose what goes in our bodies or not? Is this the land of the free or not?

Or.... are you a Fascist and demand that everyone do as you do. Say as you say.

Lmmfao....you are a doctor spending all day on a free message board. Btw, your numbers are comical....you as a doctor should know that all deaths where people tested positive for covid were classified as covid...even if from car wreck...a doctor...

Lol
Lmao
Lmmfao

This virus and the regular flu are very close, unless you use Biden admin #s...which everyone knows are inflated...just like mandatory masks...because they want to fear monger and have more election laws due to it...because otherwise they getting asses handed to them in 2022 and they know it. They have destroyed everything they have touched.

Doctor, why won't you address the border? Did Dems send out a memo to leave that topic alone?

You really think these mfers care about the virus? If so, they would shut the fkn border down and quit bringing in thousands and thousands of infected immigrants and sending them all over the country. Get a fkn brain dude...if you can't see what's happening I can't help you. They want to turn red states blue. They don't care the health risk. End of discussion.

Not at all. People went way too far both ways with this shite and I don't know how to reverse the course at this point. I just wish people would go straight to healthcare providers for their info and advice regarding health-related issues. There's an abundance of information available online, but unfortunately with it is an abundance of misinformation. It's become way too easy for others to deceive people for their own personal gain.

I’m vaccinated. My wife is vaccinated.

Glad to hear it. Thanks for protecting yourself and your family and doing your part to keep the severe cases down.

I definitely didn't want to force people to get it nor did I think it would come to that considering how fast people were lining up to get it when it was first available, but I don't know what it would take at this point. It's the only viable way out. We can't keep going like this. And as far as long-term effects of the vaccine, it would be unheard of for a vaccine to have deleterious effects on you more than a few days to weeks after you receive it, and all data at this point suggest that the vaccine is way safer than getting the actual virus.

Skepticism isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

I agree. The medical field is built on skepticism. We are always testing ourselves to confirm or disprove what we know or want to know. So much time and effort has gone into fighting this virus and learning how to overcome this pandemic, and it's so disheartening to see that work ignored by so many, including my family and friends.

Doctor, why to you keep avoiding the border? You are preaching vaccine, but ignoring what's happening there? Why is that?

I didn't figure you would answer. That's what you liberals do when called out...name call and run. Surprised you haven't called me racist. I'm very well informed, and guarantee much more educated as well. You are an activist. I don't like Trump. I do like a free country and capitalism...I'll be damn if I don't do my part from allowing you nut jobs to destroy this country.

Their choices are directly impacting the health and safety of the rest of their countrymen. The hospitals are overloaded yet again. Unable to handle the sheer volume of cases that this time around were 100% preventable. If that wasn't the case and it was just a handful of people who refused to be vaccinated it wouldn't be a big deal, even though we would still feel sympathy for them. Sub 40% vaccination rate during the worst pandemic of our lifetimes is sad.

So you mean their ..meaning the Biden Administration right? By allowing hundreds of thousands of illegals to cross our border, many infected, and bussing the infected throughout the country, primarily to red states.
