There’s no way to know this for sure.

But that was an interception. I’ll never be convinced it wasn’t.

I don't think that's why he failed in the NFL. IMO, he failed because his management style gets all of its strength from his dictatorial style. He demands his players play in a certain way and there is accountability for not playing the way Nick wants you to play.

Needless to say, that isn't how NFL players work.

As an aside, it's the same reason that Urban Meyer is doomed in the NFL too. His style does not work with grown men.

Meyer is a lot more player friendly than Saban. At least based on what we know now.

Murder was acceptable while he was at UF

For all of saban’s faults, he wasn’t banging coeds in a sin den

In reality, we needed Jordan Jefferson to lead us on a GW TD drive on the road against a really good Bama defense. So uh, forgive me if I have some doubts.

It still sucked to not even get a chance when we should have. And in real time I was pissed. But to me, 2012 and 2014 were the worst ones. It probably also had something to do with the psychological effects of the natty game, but those two games were so winnable and should have been won, but we choked them away. Gut wrenching losses to me, whereas the PP7 game was one I feel like we should have had a chance at the end but in no way did I feel the win was in our grasp only to slip away.

100% agree. The PP7 call was fricked but there is small chance LSU wins anyway. The offense was putrid. Maybe LSU loses 21-15 instead of 24-15.

2012 was so demoralizing bc we never got any payback for the mulligan game.

2014 was laughably ridiculous but the offense was once again just so putrid.

Calling that play out of bounds was the best thing that could have happened for LSU. Had they awarded the interception we would not have picked up a single first down. Their defense was slaughtering us.

Yeah 2009 was one of the worst LSU offenses of the past 20 years. Just sucked out loud. 2014 was even worse IIRC.

Shouldn’t have taken hindsight to see Saban > Miles.

Although Miles was pretty good those first few years. Being a new coach, he handled 2005 pretty good.

Saban really screwed us over and put us in a bad position by leaving. I don’t blame Skip for saying no. There were a lot of hard feelings at the time.

Do you really take back the girl who cheated on you and dumped you for the richer guy when she comes back crying when it doesn’t work out?

We won the Natty with Miles in 07 and almost had a 2019-like season in 2011 were it not for the media and pollsters giving Bama an undeserved rematch. Miles got a team with JJ and Lee at QB to the Natty in dominant fashion. Given that Perriloux screwed the pooch and got kicked off the team, Les delivered some pretty damned good coaching up to that point.

It was a bad call on the part of the review personnel, very bad. The ref on the field; can’t hardly fault the guy too much on a bang-bang call that really is/was a call where 2 ref’s were needed in order to make a call at all.

That is to say, no way 1 ref can watch for components of a “catch”, while also watching feet for “in-bounds” component(s).

While it ended up being a clear INT with the benefit of replay, the call on the field was a toughy for the best 1 man/ref scenario.

So it was way—way short of falling in the “worst call ever” category. Not even on/in the list of top 500 worst calls IMHO!

Again, the video review folks, now that’s a different story. I knocked over a full box of Cheerios with my fist when they announced the decision of the review folks.

But Skip didn't do anything extra to try and keep Saban from leaving. I still blame Skip.
