A lot of fans on here don’t seem to know how scrimmages work. It’s situational offense vs defense imitating 2 minute offense, goal line, 3rd down etc.

Here’s what actually happened.. Myles Brennan started the scrimmage from the very first play with the #1 O against #1 D. Brennan drove the offense 70 yards and Helaire scored on a 6 yard run. McMillan came in with 2’s and drove straight down and scored. LN came in with the 3’s and drove right down and scored. All TDs were scored on runs during team. MB was the only QB to drive and score against #1 defense. JM also drove his squad down and scored twice with the running back. On the Day all QBs had 1TD pass each against their respective defenses in team period. Each QB also had a least 1 more passing scored in red zone. Brennan had 3 dropped passes and 2 throw aways. JM had 2 drops and 2 throw aways. LN had a good day and look very good running as well as throwing. Unfortunately he had a 97 yard pick 6. CEH stood head a shoulders above the rest of the RBs. He will start. Without a doubt this is the first scrimmage anyone can realistically say the offense won the day... that’s a big deal..

I been said CEH was the guy I said that from last year when he was looking like baby Guice in the practice videos. Brosette doesn't have a mean streak. You can tell just by looking at him

Good to hear that Brennan had a much stronger day than stats indicate due to drops and throw aways. Glad the other QBs played well overall also.

This sounds a lot like Les Miles' Stats & I'm wondering about the Mathematical Skills of the Statistician

Just like last week when several posters anointed a starter in MB, there were too many unknowns and the stats thrown around were to uplift him and make the others look worse. This week you don't see those same people here saying the same thing because it's LN.

They will all have up and down days depending on the situation, what unit they're on and facing, and the plays call that day. MB was the better performer last week and LN was the better performer this week. It's also been JM at some point. Does not tell us a whole lot. I'd like to see what we can become if LN puts it all together but if he doesn't then I'll be rooting MB unless he stinks it up.

CEH's yards also came against the 2nd unit which those same yards might be tough to come by against the 1st unit that seems to have shut NB down. I think CEH has always been more talented though, so I'm hoping to see what he can do live.
