Agreed - it would be hard to put that genie back in the bottle. If Alleva wanted didn't leak that and had no intention of relieving Miles, I'd think he would have held a press conference by now to squash it.

If anyone on TD with any credibility in any subject matter gives a flying goat's frick what any stranger on TD thinks of their credibility, they are entirely too emotional.

It's more like will LSU give Jimbo a 50 million dollar contract. Sexton will have LSU over a barrel if Jimbo is serious about coming here. If not, then I do agree with your statement.

I have no source he's gone. I'm related to one of those so called "money men" and I can say the common thinking that "the buy out isn't going to be a problem" is bullshite.
There are two problems. First the buy out will be twice the largest buyout in NCAA history. The perception doesn't look good on LSU. And that's before any buy out of an existing coaches contract.
Second the buyout drops by $4 million if they wait till Jan. 16. That will not work because they know they would need a coach sooner than Jan.
I'm am not saying they will not buy out Les Miles (he doesn't like Les as a coach at all). I'm saying they aren't all gun ho about doing it now.
I haven't talked lately but want to give him a call. But I know he'll be hard to reach at this time.
