Watch the bowl game with Baylor last year. They have no defense, period.

The entire defensive staff from last year was fired. Now it's Justin Wilcox from Tennessee and Boise State, Peter Sirmon from Tennessee, Tosh Lupoi from Cal, and Keith Heyward from Oregon State. It's a completely different defense. It's definitely a work in progress though.

Y'all running a 3-4 or 4-3? Are you more beef up front, or speed?

Eta

I can't stand Brock huard as an announcer.

Basically a 3-4. A DE, DT, DE, and a Rush End/LB. Our NT is big (330 lbs), one DE is about 265 I think and the other DE is about 250. Our Rush End is 235. We're more built for speed, which is what you will exploit. It's built to stop Pac-12 offenses, not power offenses like yours.

Isn't lupoi a good recruiter? What kind of unknown players should we know of?

That's rather closeto the weight of our starting DL. Obviously we are a 4-3, but mingo is 235 soaking wet, montgomery about 265, and our dts range from 290-310.

We played them once before in TS. They were a top program back then early 80's under Don James. We won 40-14, in our 3rd game of the year. We finished the year 4-7 and 0-6 in 1983 Stovall's last season as coach.

Considered one of the best in the country. Got recuiter of the year a couple of times at Cal I believe. Developed a lot of DL talent there. He was a huge hire for us.

On offense, you already know about Price, ASJ, and Kasen Williams.
As far as defense..
-Josh Shirley is our Rush End. I would say he's a poor man's Mingo. Had 9 sacks last year as a Freshman last year and only started 7 games.

-Shaq Thompson is playing like a hybrid DB/LB role it looks like. True Freshman who was a top 3 overall recruit in the country last year. 6'2 230 lbs and fast.

-Sean Parker is a pretty highly regarded safety. Big-time recruit out of high school who picked us over USC and Michigan. He's a Junior this year and looks really good. Hard hitter and playmaker.

-Desmond Trufant is one of our CBs and has looked very good too. Considered one of the better Senior CBs in the country.

If there are surprises on offense, it'll be news to us Husky fans too. The RB situation is far from ideal.
