But every model I've seen has the storm basically going due west when it makes landfall .

Yep, one model has it bouncing, reforming in the gulf, and hitting Galveston.

Trying to be funny I'm sure, but if true, you need to step away from sports, forever.

I've seen one model showing that. As of the latest we got this morning. It is likely to hit then move towards Houston as a cat1- or tropical storm by wednesdst

The game should be moved and that decision should be made today !!! Why can't these executives see one week in advance ? Houston will get 20 to 30 inches of rain by Wednesday and we don't need to be taking up hotel rooms. Get in your horse "leaders". !!!

DAMMIT TO HELL.
First ever away game I plan to see, and I jinx the whole damn thing. I swear if it was raining pussy, I'd get hit with a dick.

The Weather Channel is saying it could stall after making land fall and drop as much as 30 to 40 inches of rain on South Texas, so yes that would impact the game. I hope not for us but especially for the people living in that area.

Drinking this early in the morning in an obvious sign of alcoholism.

Do you have a recent news link which actually says that specifically about Houston? The news I'm hearing locally is those 20-30 inch predictions are more focused on the areas around Corpus Christi. It makes it hard to follow because people are lumping the entire area together when it's actually pretty large. They seem to be softening the expectations for Houston. Low expectations for high winds or power outages. The local schools are planning to be closed on Monday but start back up again on Tuesday.

In Allison, we got 40 inches of rain in Houston. At one point we had 25 inches in a 12 hour period not spread out over 4 days.

Umm....looking like there is no way this will be played in Houston based on the Friday morning projections.
I am wondering the options to be discussed as far as re-location. Cancelling the game with this much notice to re-locate it will not be well received. I am just wondering what options and venues are being considered. But, given the history of post hurricane activities, I just can't see Houston as now being a viable site if the projections are accurate.

Snow Peas Alleva says move it to the Superdome and since it was originally scheduled to be played in Houston Texas, we can play Texas aTm three years in a row in College Station.

Someone needs to be held accountable if this isn't rescheduled. 8 days is plenty of time

Agreed! Have a contingency plan in place right now today! If we have to go out to BYU to play the damn game then get it lined up and be ready to go!
