I'm sure parts of Houston may have flooded. Saying Houston flooded makes it seem like the entire city is under water already
He said Houston is already flooding, which means there is already flooding in some areas. Posting accurate reports is fear mongering though.

No it's not. The fear mongering is ridiculous.
Years ago I got stuck in a traffic jam near downtown Houston, and it started pouring. Within 30 minutes the street became flooded and my car became ruined.
I don't trust Houston's ability to handle tropical bands of hard rain. If the storm meanders around Houston as late as Thursday, the game could be at risk.

it will be played in Houston or cancelled.
Well, I doubt BYU is as stubborn as Florida is, so I bet level heads will come together and a suitable solution will be found.
Hell, IDC if we have to play in Shreveport if BYU doesn't want a home and home with next weekend in BR, like I said last year with Florida: just make the game happen wherever next weekend.

Move game to tiger stadium it's the only answer

Just spoke with Little Woodrows in Houston , they are open for business as we speak. No talk of cancelation at this time!

Unless the storm continues north that's actually the wrong answer.

But that's not all you posted. You also said.
It's this kind of omniscient declaration that doesn't play well. Stick to reporting and not fortune telling.

Houston is already flooding. The hotels will be full with evacuees from harder hit areas and law enforcement agencies will not waste resources on the game. It will be cancelled or hopefully played somewhere else.

I didn't post that.
The rest of that post was opinion, but that isn't what the replies were about. They were refuting that there is flooding.

Tiger Stadium isn't the only answer, but the outlook has improved for Louisiana so TS or the Dome might be in play now.
Still have a couple of days to see what Harvey does. He hasn't been paying attention to all the forecasts and doing his own thing.
If they want to move it, I would think the decision has to come Monday. Lots of logistics to worry about.
It's a crapshoot if they stay with Houston. Simply no way to know what it'll look like by the end of the week.

Buga can't even quote the correct poster, and I get downvotes. Bunch of clowns in this thread.

Based on what? The fact that Houston is in good shape now, or that you just Know the worst is yet to come? What a snowflake.

The Houston Mayor just said that there has been flooding already.

They've gotten like 2" of rain at this point. Sure, they are projected to get a lot of rain over the next several days, but let's let this thing play out before we call the game cancelled.
Posted on 8/26/17 at 9:55 am to UpToPar
I'm not calling it cancelled. I said I don't see how it gets played as scheduled. I'm fine with being wrong. I trust what the Mayor has reported so far more than a few rant posters, though. Sorry.

The mayor has to lobby for federal aid and convince his citizens to stay off the streets unless absolutely necessary. He has every reason to exaggerate.

There are some flooded streets. That doesn't make it an apocalypse by any stretch. The bayou in my area has already started going down. Never came close to cresting. Harris County Flood Warning System
