He didn’t call it the Deaf Dome once, though. Probably his first game at LSU that he didn’t. He used to love yelling about the Deaf Dome since he coined the nickname. I guess our crowds have been bad long enough that he didn’t feel it fit anymore.
I would have loved for him to drop a “the Deaf Dome is back, baby”.

Because the crowd helps the team. If the team is busting their asses and the fans are sitting on their hands, it saps morale.
In the long run, a crowd is either a lure or a deterrent for top talent as well.

I think the crowd would actually grow faster if people would stop trying to force the issue on here and just let it happen or just be happy that it's packed and has more people in it now then it has in a very long time.
LSU keeps recruiting and winning that place will be rocking and packed more and more often. It will happen on its own, it's not necessary to tell or even ask people to go more often, they will go. That's all.

It's been what 3 months? Give it some time, it will happen and there's nothing anyone can do to make it happen faster.
Just expressing the crowd was great is good enough to bring more. I know I'm not going to go more often because someone is asking me to do it. I'll go when I go. Plus most fans have kids, jobs and lives. Now if no one is going to big games next year then we might have a problem.
