That lot used to be all free parking except for a small corner. Typical UofA bullshite to rope off 90% of it for "hang tags" or paid permit parking pass. My daughter attended UofA for a year. We paid I think $500 for the privilege of parking on campus...however...her parking lot was also a designated "hang tag" lot for athletic events. So 3 times a week during the late fall and winter semesters she and every other student had to move their cars down to Baum to make way for "hang tag" big wigs so they could park near for basketball and football, or be towed. Baum is almost 2 miles away from where her dorm was. That University is all about gouging for more money

Simply talking about what one of he attendants told me. It may be wrong but I stopped there last Arky home series on Sunday and they said the whole lot went to permit.

Just trying to be of help and let you know they’re wrong. 3/4 of the lot is still public. No reason to ever pay for parking around Baum.

We nixed the tailgate and parked at Foghorns. I didn’t see any tents along Razorback Road which is different than past years.

Hardly, I’ve donated enough $$ to the UofPig.

I hate to be negative, but there isn't a single dorm 2 miles away from Baum and they have buses running back and forth constantly. It is a pain in the arse to have to do that, I had to do it 25 years ago when I was a freshman on campus and lived very close to Bud Walton but all of the signs on campus clearly labelled which spots had to be vacated and which didn't so it was easy enough to go out Thursday night and move to a spot much closer than Baum.

They do gouge for parking but I would assume most urban/semi urban campuses do the same.

tigger, go in the lot across from Baum and there are tents set up in the grassy areas on the north side of lot over beside the last closed off exit/entrance.

It’s also free parking.

I think people see that you can’t turn heading sour into the lot any longer and assume the lot is closed. Coming up Razorback Road from the south is how you have to enter free lot now.

Thanks, I’m aware of that area. We usually set up right across the street, right next to Razorback Road. With all the stuff going on with graduation, we decided to not do a tailgate this year. 2 years from now we’ll be back, with a vengeance!!
