Depends on if they played in Tiger Stadium or St Thomas More Stadium where the Cajuns play.

I heard STM doesn’t have AC in the visiting locker room.

LSU by 7. I know LSU ended the season with 2 wins, but those were SEC teams and LSU always seem to be les motivated when playing lesser opponents like Troy. LSU has way more talent than ULL, but the way the defense gives up big plays gives ULL a chance. like in the Ole miss game, the defense had 5 interceptions and some how only won by 5. Against Florida, Trask had 2 picks and a fumble lost, but still threw for 474 yards.

Let me guess. There is no way the 19th ranked team wouldn't be favored against a team not even in the top 25 right?

For those who said pick em or ULL possibly favored, get in touch with me. I'll happily book your bets in 2021.

Thank you in advance.

LSU would be favored to win by 7 or more. Bummer that it is even that close...... but the talent gap between LSU and UL-L is still huge.

It's analysis with value.

You provide neither analysis nor value.

You did catch the part where I said it could be LSU favored by 1?

What is your reading comprehension level? Pre-school?

That system is outdated and archaic. It has absolutely no relevance today.

What i provided you is a real world reference point. As in, that's what the Las Vegas odds would end up. You know where people actually put up their own money?

If the betting line started at -11 for LSU, so much money would come in for ULL, it would skew back to a push, or very close to it.

I get what you’re saying here but the LSU team that was on the field the last two weeks were a bunch of freshman and sophomores that just wanted to play ball and play ball really hard.

Also what people aren’t taking into effect is that ULL would go into the game ranked higher than LSU and the spread wouldn’t be 20+. They would have no reason to believe that they can just show up and win this game like it’s a rent a win opponent.

Your opinion (and a shitty one at that) is what you call a "real world reference point?"

You kinda tipped your hand when you correctly added the second L. The USL fan would have wrote UL.

And would still lose by 30. Look at ULLs winning margin. They’ve been lucky at best in a crazy arse year. 2-3 point wins over high school teams doesn’t make them a power all the sudden. Whoever thinks they could beat LSU is literally insane.

1. That’s not a real world reference point, it’s your opinion of what the spread would look like.

2. Here are some real world reference points:

- The line for the First Responder Bowl (ULL vs. UTSA) is ULL -14. UTSA is a 7-4 C-USA team that is 1-4 vs. FBS teams with a winning record.

- The line for the Cure Bowl (Coastal Carolina vs. Liberty) is Coastal Carolina -7. Coastal Carolina is the Sun Belt “co-champion” (despite being undefeated and beating ULL) and Liberty is a 9-1 independent that is 0-1 vs. teams with a winning record.

I think that should give a pretty good idea of how Vegas views the Sun Belt.

According to Jeff Sagarin ratings, LSU has a rating of 82 while UL-Lafayette rates 74. So according to Sagarin, LSU about an 8 point favorite. Most of the time Vegas and Sagarin are reasonably close, within a point or 2.
