These guys are out of eligibility:

Tanner Reaves
Seth Dardar
Dax Dathe
Grant Fontenot
Chris Stanfield
Brayden Simpson
Zach Yorke
Zac Cowan
Connor Benge

Likely lost to the draft

Steven Milam
Jake Brown
Derek Curiel

Draft eligible, but not sure if they go early enough since they can return and still have leverage, but weird things happen with pitchers:

Mavrick Rizy
Deven Sheerin

These guys will lose leverage if they return but I am not sure they will be n a position where they are giving up much bonus money, so they may return. Pitchers are the most likely to go, I think This is probably where the most transfers would likely come from.

Edward Yamin IV
Jaden Noot
DJ Primeaux
Daniel Harden
Trent Caraway
Santiago Garcia
Gavin Guidry

Guys who will redshirt
Cooper Moore (junior)

These are not draft eligible except Pearson, who is not getting drafted this year.

Freshmen

Ethan Clauss
Mason Braun
William Patrick
Omar Serna Jr.
Jack Ruckert
Reagan Ricken
Jonah Aase (will Redshirt)
Zion Theophilus
Marcos Paz

Sophomores

Cade Arrambide
John Pearson
William Schmidt
Casan Evans
Danny Lachenmayer
Cooper Williams
Ethan Plog

Curiel is a draft-eligible sophomore.

Yes, that is why I listed him as likely gone but forgot to remove him from the sophomores before I hit submit. I was editing while you posted probably.

Nice work my friend. Will miss watching DC next season, smart, savvy player.

Garcia will be drafted and paid high enough to go pro.

I had a suspicion about him. He was electric at times and does seem like the type of pitcher that someone would go after. I just haven't kept up with those. If it were not for the injury, I would expect Moore to be gone, too.

Any worries that either Bide or Serna will transfer somewhere to be a FT C?

I think them going through the physical demands this year and each missing time means that they’re smarter than to want to play there every single day. It’s better for both of them to split time.

Is Cooper Moore definetely getting a redshirt this year? Has that been confirmed?

OK, thanks. Seem like a couple of building blocks for 2027.

Jay has said they either will apply or have (I don't recall exactly) applied for a medical redshirt.

Braun
Bide
Serna

Those 3 you can build around. Plus the entire weekend rotation should return so there are pieces there as well

I expect between 17-21 of those 26 possible to be back.

If 5 for 5 passes, that will have an impact on player leverage for a few guys on that list.

We may have a few who aren’t pushed out but leave on their own to get more PT. I could see Yamin and Pearson both falling into that group.

There’s not a chance in hell Caraway is back. I’m sure he had a good NIL deal that he didn’t live up to.

The same is also likely true of Lach and Garcia and one or both of them may end up gone to free up money for pitchers the staff believes in more. Or like you said, Garcia could just leave for the draft.

Seems about right, but who knows.

I did not mention that, but it could certainly play a role for a few of these guys.

Always a possibility.

I doubt Pearson leaves. Yamin, I could see, but I am not certain what he sees as his future or what else could influence him outside of baseball (like a girlfriend).

He did not, but the question is whether there was some nagging injury. I don't think there was, but Jay has been silent about those things in the past at times. I suspect you are correct, though.

I think the staff sees both guys as big upside guys. Both have looked that way at times, not so much at others. I don't think either gets pushed out, but Garcia has some things that MLB teams will possibly like enough to draft or at least offer him.
