for Russell Sheppard, yes.

he's not going to throw many passes next year. And if he has to, we are going to lose a lot of games.

Not convinced DD really knows for certain that someone is planing on transferring. I think he has an opinion that maybe certain players would be better off in the long run transferring to another school.

Lafell ain't leaving. He would be no better than a 5th or 6th round pick if he comes out. He would be stupid. As I posted recently, I predict JL to Texas Tech.

we will be losing 12 seniors for sure. we have 82 on scholarship. that leaves 70 add 20 committments then we are at 90. as of today 5 will not return(by some means whether it is via the draft, tranfering, or kick off. for every additional committment we receive add to the 5. randle, debose, mingo, loston someone will hve to go.

Que? Dude drops too many balls but ,remember, Devery was a second rounder. That's all you need to know. Measurables are huge in the NFL.

Anyway, if J Lee leaves, I'll be disappointed. I think the kid has nuts and he's got a cannon. The future Saints scout on here who proclaimed Lee will never make it in the NFL, I believe, is wrong also. The kid has a gun, good size, and shows heart. Why couldn't he play? Keep in mind, the dude was a freshman, a fricking freshman. Jefferson too! They both played poorly but they both show signs that they can play. Hatch is the only one that you can clearly see shouldn't be playing at this level. I think with his experience, Lee not only wins the job, but plays consistently well. Well enough to win us games, not just manage them.

One more thing. We all saw Peterson get beat on consecutive throws in the Ole Miss games, he got beat for a couple fo TDs, etc..but I don't hear anyone saying we hope Patrick Peterson transfers. Obviously, because we can see he has talent, but when its the QB, his errors are magnified. I don't see as much written about his great throws and if you remember, there were several great throws that only a few QBs could make. He made freshman SEC errors, but because of his position, he's gotten hammered. And, for the record, I think the kid has handled himself off the field with much class. That goes a long way when you're talking about the QB positon and future leader of the team, signed RP.

Okay, noone was more disappointed in Lee's play than me, however, it really wasn't all his fault. Look at J.Russell, Matt Flynn, Matt Mauck etc. All had PLENTY of time to develop. This kid was thrown in the fire FULL FORCE right off the bat. He missed time in spring ball and that alone hurt him. One thing I blame a LOT of Lee's issues on is the coaching staff. You can't tell me this kid was Joe Montana in practice and then himself during games. He should not have been throwing in a lot of the situations, yet the coaching staff put this kid in some bad positions by calling plays he was OBVIOUSLY weak running or executing. I think Lee will be in the mix next season, however I think Jefferson starts, Shepard ends up starting by mid season and this kid Garrett will make Hatch the lone man out. Garrett will redshirt his frosh year.
