No, I get his whole point.

Play JJ as the "passing QB" and play a WR/RB as the option/running QB.

I just think it's a poor point.

Part of the reason JJ is able to succeed at times is because he has the ability to run and throw. Trying to pigeon hole would not help anything IMO. And those guys wouldn't be as successful in that role.

What's our offensive identity with JJ in?

I don't think he's advocating playing Jordan at all

Correct me if I am wrong here, but what I got from his comment was that the 4 guys he mentioned would be better than JJ at running the spread option type of offense that JJ runs... Sure, all those guys would be better runners than JJ, but I would love to see them on 3rd and long. JJ is at least somewhat capable as a passer in that type of situation. Its not like we are just running the wildcat the whole game, there are passes mixed in too.

Right, I was just saying that his implication is that JJ's role should be as the "passer" since he's "been forced to be a runner".

His entire post was trying to mock anyone who supports JJ.

It's stupid.

Gain yards and score points, I guess. Since that's what we did last night.

You're wrong and giving me too much credit. I'm not that deep or crafty.

Meh, that's quite a reach. I don't think that means what you think it means.

Because I think there are athletes(former running QBs) on the team that can play JJ's roll better than JJ?
You don't even know what JJ's role is.

Jefferson is NOT a wildcat QB. He is not a running QB. He is not an option QB.

Miles has repeatedly stated that he wants his QB to be able to throw effectively. He wants defenses to respect the passing capability of the QB. Say what you want about Jefferson, but once you put hyperbole to the side, you have to admit that he can throw effectively. Defenses do respect his passing capability.

Randle, Magee, Ware, and Shep are not effective throwing QBs. Defenses will NOT respect their passing capability.

Again, Jefferson is no a wildcat QB or an option QB. He is a QB who can run the option effectively. He is a QB who is a running threat.
