I would give the honor to Austin Ross

LSU IP H R ER BB SO AB BF NP
--------------------------------------------------
Austin Ross......... 6.2 7 2 2 1 10 25 28 81

even though he started a little rough. He battled back to keep the team in it.

Hawthorne and Hannagriff gave the Player of the Game Award to an Austin alright. But it was Austin Nola.

For going 1 for 4 and having an error?

Austin Ross...

At bat of the game???

Perhaps Nola's 2 out single that knotted the game at 2 and opened the door for the rest of the runs in that inning!!

he had the double that tied it. at the time it was a very clutch hit and knocked the pitcher out the game

not that it matters, but it was a single and he took second on the throw. It was a heads up baserunning decision, even though he was nearly thrown out...

I would still give "player of the game" to Ross. Nola doesnt have a chance to tie the game if Ross doesnt give a great performance for almost 7 innings.

I think Austin Nola, Austin Ross, and Paul Bertuccini all can share the honor. All stepped up and delivered when we needed them!

No I love all the Tigers. I just said his line from today wondering how he could be the player of the game over Ross.

It was Nola or Ross. The pitching was great, but if Nola doesn't get that single, it's 2-1 going to the 8th inning and who knows what happens? Instead, he directly scores or drives in two runs and opens the door for a 7-run rally. Absolutely massive play.

I'd say Ross was the player of the game, but Nola had the most important moment of the game.

All it takes is 1 and that young man Nola got it ... Ross was great though to not lose his composure when SU jumped out in front...
