I am taking my dad with me to the game this comin weekend. While that doesn't sound out of the ordinary, he is 78 yrs old and has NEVER been to a game! It is too h.ot for him to tailgate all day so I want to take him to lunch somewhere on campus and then go to the game. Any suggestions???

The union is a comfortable place to hangout, eat and watch other games.

Lsu dairy store used to sell ice cream on game days- not sure if they still do.

If you're drinking, go with the chimes right off campus.

The Dairy Store is open.

I really miss the buffet on the third floor of the Union. Why did they quit doing that?

Fat Cow right at the gates of campus. Good burger joint. Pluckers also isn't a bad spot for some wings.

Better when it's cooler outside, but the Shrimp & Corn soup @ Chimes is off the chain. Lawd have mercy.

I agree with chimes or walkons. Chimes food is better than walk ons IMO
