What a night it was! LSU wins the SEC and both Pitt and Mizzou lost to put us in the BCS Title game!

That was 2003 we needed Hawaii to lose so USC strength of schedule would take a hit

I can’t believe that WVU team was ranked #2 in the country. What I wasted opportunity by that program. The Pitt team they lost to that night was anemic. They had nothing but shady McCoy, although I will say He played lights out.

Pitt was 3-7 going into that game and a 28pt dog. Talk about just a monumental loss of focus by WVU.

After the SECCG we were tying to find a place to have dinner in downtown Atlanta and ended up at Steak and Ale with a ton of other LSU fans. There was no tv in the dining room and not everyone has smart phones back then. There was a lady listening to the WVU/Pitt game on her radio giving everyone score updates. When WVU lost, the place erupted in cheers. We went back to the Marriott Marquis bar and watched OU beat Mizzou. What a crazy night.

Pat White left the game in the second quarter with a dislocated thumb on his non-throwing hand and never returned. I guess he couldn’t grip the ball. I was very surprised he didn’t try to come back in the game.

Was at the SEC Championship game. Listening to the Pitt/WVU game while driving home. Almost drove off the road screaming about going to the NC.
