Story of this season. Very few games when LSU was firing on all cylinders. Hope Jay learns from this.

An offense with key people missing against 2 of the best pitchers in the league. Did you expect 10 runs?

Great move by Jay saving the starters for Hoover. He did all he could to keep the team alive.

Giving up 5 runs over 17 innings. That’s winnable pitching. Should be playing on Friday.

Huh?

Auburn leads the nation in holding teams under 3 runs. This was like the 31st time they have done it this year. They pitched their ace and best reliever tonight. Our already weakened lineup was missing Serna tonight. Is it a shock we only scored 1 run?

Auburn’s pitchers were elite. Neither threw harder than 91, but we couldn’t touch them. Time to start signing kids who can pitch and not just throw hard.

That’s the best pitching staff in the sec statistically and we’re missing 2 of our best lineup pieces in Brown and Serna with freshman sprinkled throughout. The offense was going to struggle tonight, just hoped for more than 1. They had chances
