Pitching plan for Hoover - so far so good

Got to admit I was a bit surprised at the outstanding pitching performances last night. We just beat a team that will be in the tournament. Fontenot, Guidry, and Sheerin all threw a lot of strikes. Best I've seen Guidry and Sheerin pitch all season. We'll see what Jay goes with tonight. One game at a time mentality. Hopefully our lineup continues to hit and we stay in the game so Jay can pick and choose his pitchers. Knowing the Tigers will get 2 days of rest should they win tonight is something to consider. Our opponents hitting steps up every game. What a challenge!! Bring it! Geaux Tigers! Carpe Diem!!!!!

The plan was Schmidt last night. Given the situation, it worked out last night. I'm optimistic enough to think we can hold the rope for one more game, but if Schmidt doesn't pitch in this tournament, like CJJ eluded to last night, it's gonna be rough. Not getting to far ahead though. One game at a time. No need to look any further than that.

quote:In the post game interview posted here on the TD homepage, Jay tells reporters that the decision on who to pitch tonight wasn't yet made but Curiel said that it would be "our best guy" Casan Evans. Hopefully he has a good outing and continues to comeback in a positive way to his recent shutdown.
