I agree with this also. It will be interesting.

I'd go Dutton or Taylor in the 1st game then Hillard and Floyd going forward!

The part of the equation you are missing is that the other schools are going to start running out of pitchers later in the weekend too
True but USM has (at least) 2 legit starters and i assume they are throwing off game 1. We have 1 and a half legit starters (Floyd if he is on).
Id like to see how far Money/Dutton/Wholestaff could get us vs Kennesaw. Start Money but have bullpen hot and ready to go at first sign of trouble.

What is the name of the starter from last game? He took so long between pitches I literally took a nap in the first inning, woke up, and it was still the first inning. If that guy pitched an entire game, the game would last 6 hours.

we go to loser's bracket, we are even more screwed
People said the same thing going into last year’s regional. This team has the lineup to slug its way out of the losers bracket once other team’s top pitchers are done.

Hasty and people need to stop using one outing to define this guy’s season. He has been very good for the most part late in the season.

Usm best hitters are left-handed. Any decent left hander that can find the plate will cause major issues for them. A couple of right handed bats have some pop...but very impatient.
Balls fly out of that park...Tigers bats warm up will be a fun weekend.

Somehow people think Kennesaw state are not that good.
It doesn't matter. OP is correct. If we want to win the regional our Sunday pitching has to win, and the best chance of that, imo, is against K State's ace rather than against USM's Sat or Sun guy. Pitch Money; be patient; and get to their pitching in the 5th through 9th innings.

agree 100%.
However, this same thing can be said in game one. Kennesaw St does not have anything anyone would call an "ace". thus, why can LSU not "slug" its way through game 1??
Not arguing, just showing that this argument can be made in multiple situations. I hate the saying, but baseball is a funny game.

Usm actually has 3 legit starters.
Tanner hall, hunter riggins, hurston waldrep.

The first sign of trouble will be in the first two innings. The point is that we can give up a couple of three run innings and still win. Our lineup should put up 10 against K State.

Skip had a "Rule of 2". and that was for the first inning. will be interesting to see how Johnson/Kelly plan out the weekend, and how the bats allow them to stick to this plan.

I think we get the vet, Riggins, on Saturday.

Here’s your formula - it’s just that simple

He is the worst of the 3, so i doubt it. But i hope so

No LHP thankfully.
But they'll still have 2 legits if they dont get cute vs Army (.301/.388/.414).
I think we'll end up going Floyd/Hilliard. Saturday night marble game will be best v best.
If we can win behind MH, we'll be in drivers seat. Southern will have to go with #3 in elimination game vs Kennesaw and we'll be into their midweek starters Sunday night

I would go in this order.
Game 1- Vit/Taylor
Game 2-Hillard/Floyd
Game 3 Floyd/Hillard (Hopefully we finish it here with a clean sweep in the winners bracket)
Game 4- Vit/Taylor/Money (Whoever didnt go in Game 1)
I hope like hell Daughty is ready and at 100% and i hope Berry is healthy enough to bat from the left side. We need the team that showed up in nashville to be playing
