If LSU beats Florida they should rest him against Arkansas. Gaines can handle those clowns

Gaines might have to play 35+ maybe even 40 minutes. Murray and Williams can help out but neither has shown they can push the ball or deal with extended pressure with their handle.

Gaines hasn’t really shown this either. Would feel much more confident with Eason the primary ball handler in those situations.

Gaines and Pinson average about the same amount of turnovers per game. Gaines only has 3 more than Pinson total this season. Eason surely can’t be the primary ball handier, that’s just silly. Eason is good when he puts the ball on the floor once or twice from 15-18 feet out, he’s not someone who can dribble through 90 feet of pressure all game long.

In the 1st half of the Kentucky game Pinson turned it over on back to back possessions. The next possession Murray ran up to get the ball and Pinson came up and Murray didn't even look at him and took it up the court. Murray said I've seen enough. Then LSU turned it over again on that possession anyways.

What are the average minutes and times a game does Pinson have as compared to Gaines. It is about opportunities to TO and the number of times they actually turn it over.

Pinson has played 418 minutes, Gaines 386 total this season. They’re a minute or 2 apart per game. Per 40 minutes they’re 0.7 turnovers per game apart.

No one on this team can do that, including pinson. Eason is always under control and makes good decisions with the ball. Murray too. Gaines is/does neither of those things.

Open your eyes. How often does Eason take it down 85 feet into a half court set

Eason doesn’t ever go up against full court ball pressure. He’s never had to do what you’re claiming he can do and never shown that kind of ball handling capability. And yes both our point guards have done that all season long so I dunno where you’re getting that “nobody can.”

How many laps around the backcourt would Eason or any other player have to take to go 85 ft just to get into a halfcourt set? By

When your excitement about the witty comment you failed at making subsides, show me where I said Eason or anyone for that matter should be trying to dribble through pressure into the half court set. In fact I’m sure he wouldn’t. Gaines would, and would turn the ball over often. Eason would understand his limits.

The 11 turnovers between the 2 of them against auburn says otherwise.

Your primary ball handler is the one who dribbles through pressure into halfcourt

When discussing bringing the ball up against extended full court pressure.

There are 3 games on the schedule that had anywhere close to the caliber of athletes that LSU is playing on Saturday, and only 1 of those teams played high pressure defense like florida does.

Guess which one that was.

No. Eason should be the player leading the press breaking effort when needed. He will play under control and make good decisions with the ball. Gaines will do neither of those things. You have yet to refute any of this, and simply insist on going back to the lie that I’m calling for Eason to dribble the ball 80 ft.
