back was wide open on the interception. Qb made a stupid decision
It's kind of the coaches job to coach the QB...

Always a bad sign when you have to resort to lack of player execution to defend the performance.
I mean, the fullback had the TD and just fell down
It was stated it was a Jet Sweep with the fullback. Nice call.

Canada runs jet sweeps with fullbacks and offensive tackles and sometimes it works!

He did coach the QB. The QB made a decision to throw the ball to the wrong person
For the life of me, I can not understand how some of you can't grasp this concept.

Pitt starting to suck on both sides of the ball. Interesting to see how Canada handles the suck.

Before the melt starts, I think this game is going perfectly for our benefit.
We know this offense can explode and put up points , hell they did it to Clemson. They have one should've been touchdown and a red zone turnover which is uncharacteristic of them considering they lead the NCAA in red zone efficiency.
Now we get to see what type adjustments Canada makes during the half.
How does he calm the qb and get him better looks. Blocking changes, different plays, shift to running the ball more. We get the full package today boys

This is eerily similar to a darryljames post in a basketball thread.

I'm not going to base my opinion of Canada's ability to develop QBs based on one year with a UT washout. He's put Peterman in position to be effective, but saying that he's limited as an FBS starting QB is an understatement.

They are averaging 7 yards per play.
Their QB has thrown 6 ints on the year, so it isn't like that was a common theme

Lol, I knew this was going to be a thread full of overreaction from LSU fans over Canada. It did not disappoint. "OMG, Canada cant even score on Northwestern. He sucks."

my gosh pitts defense is horrid

And that's the coaches job to do.
It's the players job to execute. Period.
Sorry, if I have a job and I've been trained to do said job and have a grasp on it and frick up more times than not, I'm getting fired. Not the person that trained me.

Pretty much turned into posters blaming coaches.
Pitt should be up right now if not for Pitts players making errors.

Well coached players make good decisions. Poorly coached players make bad decisions.
That one play doesn't mean shite in the big picture. Peterman had 26 TDs and only 6 INTs coming into this game. So he's been probably been making a lot of good decisions. But to act like a QBs decisions aren't somewhat related to his coaching is ludicrous.
