so, just because LSU lost, everyone needs to blame it on someone? Pathetic. Tyler Hanover didn't lose the game, the team did.

you probably weren't specifically targeting me with this, but I agree with you. This was a team loss. But I must not be as upset with it as everyone else, this game more than just about any other that I've seen or listened to this season seemed like one of those inevitable baseball losses. I feel less bad about this one than either of the Tennessee losses.

A win would have been great, but showing resolve today and kicking some MSU arse will be sweet.

This was a team loss. Many players had opportunities and didn't come through, including Coleman who had a rough night. The 5 error loss to TN is the one that bothers me most.

I guess you want to ignore what Landry has done the last few games to make your point. That's fine.
centenary? hmmm

What has Pontiff done to be a pinch hitter in a critical situation? .239 last year and .225 this year.
why would you look at his average when trying to figure out how good he is as a pinch hitter? there have been several times in his career where he's come in and gotten a crucial hit.

no doubt. state is playing their best baseball of the season right now. regardless of their record, they're a good team right now. we're going to have to earn it. at any rate, this series and even the regular season championship are not the ultimate goal.

5/2 at Ark game 2, 2-4
5/8 Florida, 0-1
5/10 Florida, 2-2
5/12 Centenary, 3-3

7-10 in the last 4 games played. Raised his BA over .280.

Because they don't show his pinch hitting BA. Please provide that number, or any numbers, to support your claim that he has been a great pinch hitter.

There is a reason he doesn't play much.

Yes he did instead of him turning the double play the double play turned him he didn't know where to throw it. Need I say more! This is why Leon is out of the line up to tighten up the infield and to complete double plays
"yeah right". What's your next excuse!

Same difference you feel it was the move that lost the game by putting Landry in. Don't insult my intelligence I'm not dumb at all and let me correct you. I'm a full grown woman not man!!!

The Tigers are going to need Ochinko's bat entering the tournament, and he will need to be on his game.

sorry but centenary just isn't good evidence. second, raising his average slightly over the last 3 meaningful games doesn't wipe out an entire season of suck whereas ochinko has been solid for quite some time. regardless, coach thought the matchup was a good one and he usually has good instincts for this kind of thing. there's no way for them ALL to work out.

i didn't say great. i said he had a knack for the pinch hit, which he has. anyone who has paid attention would know that without needing "stats".

Did we play Centenary all 4 games?

Landry leads off with a homerun today and you're still hammering him. I'm sure you'll quickly point out his k.

Yeah, I'm sure Landry hasn't had any big hits in his career.

Sorry, but anyone promoting Pontiff over Landry is just wrong.

i really really like manieri but this move probably lost the game. ochinko has been hitting well and was due. landry is quite possibly the worst hitter on the team. killed the inning.

What do think now dumb shite!!! Worst hitter on the team. Really??
