I mean Duron Carter. Really?
Bama's #1 WR has been 1st or 2nd team coaches' all-SEC for the past 7 years (going back to Prothro). In all likelihood, Carter will be their #1 WR this year. If Steele is predicting who will make the postseason lists, as opposed to who should make them, it's not unreasonable at all to project Carter at 3rd team based on that history.

Of course that doesn't mean that there isn't some inherent bias in all those Bama guys being selected in the past.

Here's my take on offense. I don't think 8 RBs in the SEC are better than Kenny Hilliard. I don't think Emory Blake or Duron Carter are better than O.Beckham. Pat Lonergan was left out for some reason. If we're putting players on the list who have never even played division 1 ball, then where is La'El Collins?

Defense - Bennie Logan the 8th best DT? Remember last year when not a single fricking team could run against us, including Phil's Golden Cow, Alabama? Yeah, me too. But yeah, put The Freak over him, that makes sense. You guys mentioned Mingo already, so I'll leave it be.

Yeah, there's absolutely nothing you can say to justify Carter being on that list.

How can you even try to argue that Steele is objective? Having every Bama player on one of preseason teams isn't new.Duron Carter is fricking absurd, not to mention Mingo.

So, according to Steele, Alabama has six first team All SEC performers on offense and defense while LSU only has four.

It should be :

Bama's Offense : Warmack, Jones, Fluker

Bama's Defense : Mosley, Lester, Williams, Milliner

LSU's Offense : Faulk

LSU's Defense : Mingo, Montgomery, Mathieu, Reid

I'd say Bama has two more on the first team, and then LSU has more 2nd team guys.

LSU Baseball just took the SEC Championship and is looking at at top-8 national seeding. I love frickin' LSU football but it can wait, for all I care, until LSU's baseball season is over and we get crowned CWS champions again!

Football season starts July 1.

Bama could run on you, we lost yardage when Vlachos pulled his usual shite and was arse raped by Brockers.

Beckham should be a third team guy, Longergan should be second team Center. I'd say it goes Lattimore > Lacy > Davis (Davis and Lacy are interchangeable to me, I don't see Davis recovering well) > Hilliard

The guy who made this list is an idiot, he's underestimating LSU.

This is fricking retarded. Absolutely, completely, entirely, fricking retarded.

I don't know if I could post the above enough to explain to you the stupidity of that entire statement.

I understand that it is a prediction, but the guy is likely never even going to step foot onto the field. Second, their top receiver had less yards than OBJ with far superior quarterback play last year.

It is completely unreasonable.

Duron Carter was the third WR when Oregon played tOSU in the rose bowl in '09. He was deemed ineligible for the game.

Did he have some great spring game or something?

'Cause he hasn't done anything since.

Steele had some headscratchers on the pac - 12 list as well. He is losing his touch.

He had De'Anthony 4th team all pac RB.

No, I don't, I just hate stupidity and getting worked up over 1 guy not having enough LSU players or having too many Alabama players is stupid. Your's is the same meathead response though. Someone disagrees with what ever you are saying is biased or "loves" what ever you are attacking. Only you and the other rantards are completely objective and unbiased.

If you can't see that the stupidity in this thread is you and Phil steele's selections, you're a dumbass. Stop trying to be THAT GUY.

I read the thread, that was my general takeaway, it's nearly four pages of you whining about Phil Steele being infallible, and some of his predictions are absolutely terrible. Some are not.

Exactly. But dont say that because htown has a bleeding vag for Steele.

Strong year for offensive lineman but considering how well we ran the football last year, surprising that our offensive line isn't given more credit.

I know. I am stating that the last time he played D1 he was a 3rd string wide receiver and that was two seasons ago.

yeah the entire thing is just absurd and discredits his entire list. It's certainly not the only problem I have with it, but the most glaring.

He's been a beast in the running game, and his pass protection has gotten better with every game he played. He's huge and the most athletic guy at the size on any O-Line in the country this year. He's gonna be the first OT taken in the draft. He warrants it.

Please keep this stupid shite on the SECr. It very well may be true. Or it very well may not be. Continuing to post your speculation about the draft is just that. Spare us having to read it twice.
