I thought Lee and JJ had problems throwing the short pass. Didn't JJ try that in the Bama game and got intercepted?

. Was the Travelers an exemption or did his top 10 placement in the US Open get him that spot?

Top 10 got him in.

True South should give him one, don't know why they wouldn't. Field should go pretty deep. But the purse is much smaller than a normal event.

Like his attitude. This quote is from Wall St Journal.

quote:

I asked John Peterson, the 23-year-old who tied for fourth at last week's U.S. Open, how long he expected to play. "Once I earn enough money to buy a ranch, I'll probably quit then," said the former LSU golfer and native of Fort Worth, Texas. "I'd like to just sit on the porch all day and shoot things."

Not a bad starting salary for a 23-year-old

I heard that someone is backing him, kinda like an agent fronting money to a new client before the draft, so he can play and not have to worry about money.

Everyone has a backer or a group usually, you commit to a certain timeframe. Standard is you pay them 90-10 until the amount they gave you is paid back, then 50-50 to a point, and then you start keeping more until they make a certain point.

You have to realize that he still has no status on any tour.

You cant just back out. He would have to buy out of it. Giving his backer what his backer and he sets as what he would win in the rest of the season. You never want to buy out. That gives you a very good cushion and less pressure.

Never heard of 90-10. Most are 70-30 or 60-40 until the deal has run its course or one buys out the other.
