If it takes luck the we should be in good shape with Les. He has got that in abundance.
In 2011 LSU has to beat Alabama twice in two tries to win the BCS and Alabama has to beat LSU once in two tries, but you see LSU as lucky.
In 2013 Alabama has a Georgia away game removed from their SEC schedule and replaced with a Kentucky away game while LSU has Kentucky removed from their away SEC schedule and Georgia added, but you see LSU as lucky.
You are a seriously blind frick.

He needed a miracle to beat Tennessee in 2009 to save his only undefeated season.

Great perspective. He also has a grand total of 1 SEC west division title in the last 4 years. 1.

2011 was the most bullshite year for media takeovers swaying sports. Bama gets into NCG bc we didn't beat them by enough in "game of the century." LeBron James loses MVP race following media backlash of the decision despite beginning his current reign of terror on the NBA. Drew Brees breaks NFL passing record while ESPN makes a bigger deal out of Gronk breaking TE yds record, with Jimmy Graham 12 yds behind which was horseshite. Sandusky fricking children was 12 annoying months of mightier than though. Then Ryan Theriot won a World Series and we still have yet to erect a statue in BR to honor him. 2011 can go to hell, I'm going to Texas

and of those 4 years you mention, the eventual National Champion is a LSU divisional opponent. If you go back 7 years: 4 were a divisional opponent, 2 were LSU's permanent east opponent, and 1 was LSU itself.
Except for UF at the beginning of the BCS having to play LSU, UGA, TN and FSU no one has a tougher path to a divisional, conference, and national championship.

And why do ya'll think this is? November is the only time when they actually play a team that's worth a damn. I honestly think the end is here for their domination.

I couldn't agree more! With AJ McCarron graduating, I think it's back to reality for Bama! He has been the main piece to Bama's success over the past 4yrs. A Smart heady QB who takes care of the ball, and doesn't try to do too much. Saban is well aware of this, and while I don't think he's going to Texas, I not sure he'll be coaching at all next year. He looks tired, and I didn't see any fire from him at all last night to try to motivate his team! Maybe it was his arrogance but he just looked like he has become accustomed to things falling their way, and that's what was going to be the outcome no matter what!

- CLM catches shite for not playing Jennings (or Rivers) enough for preparation (rightly so IMHO).
- But Saban is god for playing to win and rarely letting backups take snaps. Can apply the same to a some RBs over the years too (Richardson & Ingram)

The reason November games are important is because September games are mostly pansy, rent-a-wins (look at LSU's 2014 schedule before you comment otherwise), and the early SEC schedule in October differentiates between the leaders of the pack and all others. By the time November gets here, you know who the "players" for post-season spots are. Hence, November games seem to have more influence. Who cares if an Arkansas team with a losing record loses in November? Buts lots of people care if aTm beats Mizzou.

In 2007, yeah that was the luckiest title ever.
Agreed. Yet, our 2007 team still did three things Bama's 2011 team didn't do, and also did something Bama's 2012 team didn't do.
Do you know what they are?

No other team can say they won a NC by finishing second in their division and not even playing for their conference championship and beat out a team that had the same record, a stronger SOS, and a conference title. It will probably never happen again as well.
See my thread about the playoff...

And in order to attain it, LSU and aTm were playing a BCS bound Florida team and South Caroline while Bama took on 0-8 Tenn and 2-6 Missouri.
Yup. Mediocre standards.

Just to compare, anyone have Miles' record?

Why will it matter? Miles will get bashed, regardless, despite having played the tougher schedules during the course of the entire season?
