I’m pretty sure Perkins demanded to play mlb or he was going to transfer.
at some point you have to stop blaming coaches and schemes and blame the player. Whit Weeks , in the same scheme, is wrecking shite up. I know Perkins is more athletic than Weeks so whose fault is it for Perkins not producing?

Crazy to lose a player of Perkins caliber but then have the Honky Badger emerge.

Perkins became a victim of his hype. He got tossed into some pass rush schemes and produced after coming in with an impressive high school ranking. Suddenly he thought he only had to put on his cleats to be great. He thought he could leverage a threat of transferring to dictate to the coaches where he would play. They wanted him on the field because he is an outstanding athlete. He may fit better in pro ball but I just don’t think he will ever be an every-down player

Who knows with our running back situation he might’ve been a really good running back. He did play both positions in high school and was great at both so who knows running back might’ve been his position.

I recap burns and sage being on countless blown assignments last two years. Maybe you’re right but not what I saw.
Sage should be roaming the back of the secondary using his speed to close on the football ahead of him, not playing catchup and running with wr at CB he is a very athletic safety but doesn’t have it as a CB imo.
Burns was blowing assignments and biting on everything and second guessing his responsibility bs someone else responsibility, he is now playing near Los and playing down hill not being relied on as last line of defense and biting on pump fakes and rpos.
I love how they are both playing and the positions they are playing rn I hope there improvement continues and they get some post season accolades
