Miles appears to have such a relationship with JJ. Having seen those relationships in my years of athletics, and even once being that player....JJ will start, the only question is how long does Miles wait.

sadly, I agree, and I think it will cost the NC, but whatever

I think it goes beyound the miles-JJ love and might be more along the lines of him being from MI and thinking that there are still too many racist, and its his way of showing that he will stand for the downtrodden

Also I think it would be a good idea to send JJ in to line up as a WR here and there, so when you send him in to run the option, you keep Lee in and split him out so you don't tip off the D.

Alabama did this against Florida

80-20 JL (if you ignore junk time when the game is effectively over).

I think you put JJ in for plays not series. Let him run the option plays and see how the D reacts. If they shut it down, you send him back to the sidelines, if they have trouble with it, you run it here and there.

And then randomly fake option and pass it over the top. You can't be THAT predictable...

Percentage of snaps between JL and JJ
JJ gets a drive or two, tops.

Perhaps a wildcat/CoP in there, too

For the UF game the percentage will be

JL = 75%
JJ = 25%

just to gradually get his timing down and get accustomed to game speed.

But for the rest of the season, I think the percentage will be

JL = 60%
JJ = 40%

I believe Miles is going to play JJ more than what most fans think.

I find very little in your post with which to disagree.

If Miles benches Lee, without him struggling mightily, then I will quit caring. Jefferson is not entitled to be the starting QB at LSU. I am a proud graduate and will always be a Tiger, but there would be no justification for annointing JJ as the starting QB.

I'm all for JJ as a change of pace QB. Draws, sneaks, read options, quick passes...fine

But Lee has been too consistent and too good to just bench him for no reason.

Awesome.

One fricktard posts bullshite and other posters run with it.

Thus, the mythos of the Rant is expanded.

[ETA - Miles is from Ohio, but don't let the stand in the way of your mythos.]

You must not read the rant or the news much because a good percentage of the team was out that night, including the other QBs.

I'm fully aware of that. I just felt it wasn't necessary to commend the other players for not making bad decisions like to start/participate in a bar fight.

No kidding. I think everyone is just making a prediction. Like saying soneone can't predict the score because only the amount of times we get the ball in the nedzone will dictate that. Plus the Defense reacts to our package not the other way around.

Certainly, the situation has shown all the signs of Les Miles projecting his own racial prejudices or biases into the situation. It might be a primary cause of his mishandling of the situation, and it might not be. Either way, he's mishandled the situation and sacrificed the good of the team for a bizarre and misplaced pattern of patronizing a single player.

He's said for years that he always follows Bo's school of thought of always putting the team before individuals. In recent years though, he has broken his cardinal rule for coaching for the sake of protecting JJ, while ironically not protecting JJ at all.

Nobody knows for sure why.
