If les miles didn't piss himself the entire NCG he'd have his raise already.

Per Deke Belevia

I stopped reading right here. Deke should stick to something he knows about. I'm not sure what that is, because he hasn't really portrayed himself as knowledgable about anything on the radio.

sometimes you pay coaches due to incentives....sometimes you pay them to stay. it's 2 completely separate issues

why would we pay him to stay when he is not going anywhere?

he's done a good job, but he's still botched two potential national championships in the past two years by some making some poor decisions.

yeah but he's a master of giving sweet press conferences to deflect how shitty the team played at times this year.

I don't care about that stuff, I LOVE THIS GUY. Players wanna play for him, give russell Shepard a big kiss on the mouth! Haha!

Alleva better get something in return -- "Hey Les, we'll give you a raise, OK... but you f*cking hire a new off. coordinator." Alleva is gutless and won't do that.

Taking out all of the noise about whether you love or hate Miles, his records, his recruiting, etc., I personally don't believe Miles deserves a raise over his current contract just by virtue of the fact that another school offered him more money.

He is extremely well compensated and has performed to that level. If he wins another NC, he will get a raise. I don't think he deserves more at this

Bingo.

No raise.

Why? That is an additional 250k for him to stay. Worth it in my opinion, but no more than that.

His last extension also included incentives. His raises are tied to specific goals.

Agents have just figured out another way of getting raises when you don't win championships. I highly doubt Arkansas has an offer on the table.

Yeah. One is earned, the other is forced. How can you not see the difference? Les is trying to force a pay raise he didn't earn via the very stipulations he agreed to in his contract.
