People putting down on this team probably don't have a clue what is really going on. They won't understand how a team improves over the course of a season, especially young players. They don't understand the game of basketball at all. They cannot see the positives because they don't want to. I was a little disappointed in LSU letting them tie the game after LSU was up by like 9 points under a minute left, but Fla St is a very good experienced veteran team. When you get up on them you must score or at least trade because a team like that will make shots when they absolutely must. The main difference at the end of regulation was Fla St's experience versus LSU's inexperience. There are 3 players on this team that were on the team last year. Most of the others are playing D1 ball for the first time. This team will learn how to put teams away.

Already been at least one thread whacked. A lot of people seem to be upset and it's obvious that those people don't understand basketball season at all.

True

True about those shitting on the team or coach. I think one can understand basketball and be upset over a loss.

I think the overreactions are more telling than simply being upset or disappointed.

You're 100% correct. That's what I meant, but you just said it better.

It is a good team. Very very winnable game today. Unforced turnovers. Getting beat so bad on the boards was the most concern.. the top, half of the SEC will do the same thing to us. We have to eliminate turnovers and shoot well to win.

We are clearly better. But very young.

LSU basketball team plays 28-30 regular season games.

LSU baseball team plays 56 regular season games.

Basketball team loses one game.
No one would be upset if the baseball team had a record of 10-2 especially if the 2 losses came against top 15 teams.

Plenty games to play in basketball. Lots of learning to be had.

Roy Williams and coach K have lost a game this season.

No one is going 30-0.

I’ve been playing and watching basketball since I could walk.

Today’s lack of effort on the boards and for loose balls made me cringe. That has nothing at all to do with chemistry issues or a young team needing to gain experience.

Will wade said he preaches hard work, and aggressiveness, but it’s obviously not taking so far.

I have not.

But I have played enough and watched enough to know you can't judge what a team will be in March by what they are in November. That would be like reading the synopsis of a novel and thinking you know the entire story. And that's just not true.

I really like this team, I like Wade and the culture he is trying to instill in these players. But this team as a whole doesn't focus on the game the way they should. There's lapses in intensity, hustle, intelligence and determination. These young players will understand they must raise their individual level in all these phases. And I know they will. They are learning. They are improving. That defense in the first half was suffocating. Fla St had very few open and unguarded shots. LSU's players rotated quicker, they anticipated better. When the second half came they seemed to regress and play like they have in the earlier games. But they showed how they are capable of playing and with time and experience I believe they will be more consistent on both ends of the floor. LSU has a lot of room for improvement but they are getting there. Someone who understands the game should see and know this. There's no reason to be trashing this team at this point of the season. IMHO
