Pay the kids and nobody should have an issue if they play, they’re employees at that point, under this current system it in poor taste to send kids out to play just to make money off the TV revenue and not share that wealth with them.

Their education is paid for.

Their housing is covered.

Their meals are covered.

They have the best trainers and medical staff at their disposal.

But,yeah, it is poor taste to send them out to play. It is totally optional for them. They want to do it.

Would you work if your employer gave you 12 places you could eat, a shitty one bedroom apartment and additional training and no salary? None of that shite you listed is money which is what we all work for.

I lived in many shitty 1 bedroom apartments after I graduated college, not to mention the crap holes I lived in while in college. You ignore the thousand's of $$$$ it costs the average joe to get a college education. The players are student athletes who have their tuition & housing paid for, get fed well and have the best health care. They are getting paid.

If they’re getting paid they would receive a 1099 and get taxed on that payment which doesn’t happen. Getting benefits isn’t pay.

You have shown that you are absolutely too stupid to argue with. They are "working" for minimum of $32,000 a year. Probably more than you make based upon the "intelligence" used in your post. And go look at where they eat and what they eat. Wow, you are stupid.

Also those places you chose to live were your choices, had you been more valuable (like the players) maybe you would have been in a better position. Just because you couldn’t create value doesn’t mean those who do should be punished.

Then right out of high school, don't go to college on a scholarship, hire an agent, train and enter the draft. If you're good enough at 18 or 19, the pros will draft you. That way you get paid.

Does your employer pay for your schooling, medical, housing and meals as well?

I guess they could pay athletes directly and let them pay their own way, including taxes, like regular folks.

Dude you obviously don’t understand the regulation in place preventing that and yet you’re insulting my intelligence?

You are confusing a job with a college education.

If they want a job, they should go find one.

For some odd reason, they want an education and a chance to play college athletics and have someone pay for it.

If they want to get paid and received no education and shitty coaching, they can go to Canada. For free college education, and free top training for the job that I want when I graduate, college is the way to go. It's like an internship with perks.

They are not forced. It’s a choice.

You can’t choose a situation you don’t like and then force that situation to mimic a better situation that you either didn’t choose, or are not qualified for.

The total package of a college football player is worth more than the XFL, WNBA and most minor league baseball players.

It's not complicated. You want to change the system because you don't think it's fair. Guess what, there's plenty out in the real world that isn't fair and yet we all have to make a living someway somehow. If you think you can change the current CFB then by all means do it. It's that simple, change it.

The work they put in (football in particular) obviously creates more value than what they are paid out of we wouldn’t see stadium upgrades across the country. Pay them a wage they’ve truly earned and take away all the benefits and the players should end up way ahead. A scholly, food and health care aren’t equal to the value these kids bring to the university. Honestly a full ride to a 85 kids to a school with 30,000 people is NOTHING off their books. Stop acting like this is value equal to what the players are bringing as a whole to the schools because it’s simply not.

You don’t think playing college football is a job? You don’t think those kids are putting 40hrs a week on football?

99 percent of college athletes are worth less than what they receive.

Cut scholarships and pay players a market wage and all but a few stars would come out in the negative.

You disagree? Show me a profitable minor league sports system in this country.

They do not have "shitty places to live".

They have professional chefs who cook them whatever they want at every meal.

They live in nice apartments.

They have their tuition paid and it is worth thousands every year.

They receive $800 to $1000 per month in total cost of attendance money.

They all seem to have vehicles.

Their books are paid for.

Their tutors are free.

Their medical issues are paid for.

Stop with the poor pitiful BS. They are students not professionals and are more than fairly compensated.
