Lucky? You know we beat Florida 3/5 in that stretch right? Jesus.
Lucky.

1. They weren't "way" better

#2 proves way better.

Well, you're clearly trolling. Carry on

Meaning you can't show how LSU was not in CC league or worthy of a seed.
LSU benefited from being in the SEC which is normally formidable, but not this year.

Excuse me?

The SEC is still formidable. Not really up for debate. Regardless, did you miss the part where the team we beat 3/5 down the stretch is actually the SEC representative in the CWS?

So tell me. What pointed to CCU being better than lsu prior to the series
Thinking someone was the better team prior to the series has zero bearing on who really was the better team (or who had the better talent, or who was coached better). Any person familiar with college ball would have told you CCU was a good candidate to win the series. In fact, many of them picked CCU to win the series. If you were picking players to make a team and you had both rosters to chose from, you would likely end up with 5 players from one team and 4 from the other. The talent level was very close.
BTW: The LSU/CCU series had the second narrowest betting spread of any of the super regionals.

. The team got hot during a weak arse time of the schedule and got a seed. This team was just a regional team who got lucky.
Certainly helped to beat the #1 team in the country 3 of 5 down the stretch

Coastal was way better. Let that sink in.
You realize a 4 seed has won the national championship not too long ago. Let that sink in

Is this English? Who should have received the 8th seed over LSU?

Paul needed a bigger and better tasting orange.

LSU and SEC overrated. They where never a top 8 team.
Yeah, I think the SEC has been exposed a bit, and we got our Super 8 and seed because we finished fourth in a conference that really wasn't as good as rated.
I think we definitely did not have as much talent as we usually do, so folks automatically equate finishing fourth in the SEC and getting a national seed because of it as overachieving.
Looking at the rest of the SEC I'd say fourth is about where we should have been and we played to our level, no more no less. Lot of bad teams in the SEC this year from what I saw.
At least baseball did not underachieve like some other sports on campus.

CC just won a game where the other team had fewer errors, had 3 more hits, and 3 more extra base hits. Over the course of the season those numbers will result in a loss much more often than not.
In fact, Game 2 included more of a statistical edge for LSU than Game 1 did in favor of Coastal Carolina, so over the course of a season the likely outcome if these teams played with similar stats would end up with LSU winning more than half of the time.
Teams with more hits win the majority of the team, and absent unusual circumstances a team should be around .500 in games where the team with fewer hits wins (or in games where the teams have equal number of hits). As I posted in another thread, LSU had a stretch against the Mississippi schools where they probably "should have" been 4-2 but instead were 2-4, then followed it up with an 11 game win streak where they probably "should have" been roughly 8-3. But postseason baseball doesn't include a season's worth of games so here we are.
Granted, CC's style of play makes them a little more likely than average to win while being outhit (homeruns + good at getting extra bases), but their Sunday performance vs LSU will lose most of the time.

College baseball has parity. The SEC was easily the best conference this year once again

7 of the top 11 RPI teams in the country (Coastal Carolina was #12) were from the SEC. That isn't just bias. There are 14 teams in the conference. We had some very, very good teams in the conference.

Dude seriously on the homepage of the Conference it says "Congrats champs" for Coastal Carolina with a picture of them holding the Conference trophy. It's the first thing you see.
Here I will link it for you to make it easier
You're drunk, go home.

I agree with the statement. This was one of the least talented LSU baseball teams I've seen. He got as much as he could out of it

If you think RPI is a true barometer I'd agree. But I'm not so sure it's all that good a one this year. I was underwhelmed at many of the teams we played this year.

The order of the batting lineup makes no sense. Freeman needed to bat up in the lineup and Jordan should have been benched at times due to his subpar batting avg in post season.
