Speaking of the draft, it's approaching soon and we have no head coach or recruiting director.

Pitching wins championships. Just ask Corbin.

This thread has to be a troll job! If not it wins the award as the worst take of the day.

Over the last decade, how many mediocre programs have been to 7 Supers, 3 CWS, been a National seed 6 times and been National runner up?

You don't know jackshit pussy. PM was a failure and now LSU may never be the best program in college baseball ever again. Especially if he influences the direction of our program. If you don't agree, you don't watch baseball religiously. And if you haven't watched college baseball religiously for the past decade, then quit replying on my threads, please.

You mean the one that won a CWS, played for another, and had a strech of 6 yrs straight as a top 8 national seed? Not to mention took the worst team at LSU in 2 decades to a Super Regional.

THAT ND hire?? What a fricking scrub.

You mean the guy with the third best winning % in SEC history? That bum?

From 5 national championships in a decade to 1 in 15 years? Unacceptable.

There are only 3 coaches who have won multiple national titles since Skip retired:

Ray Tanner - was at USC when Skip retired
Pat Casey - Hadn't even made a NCAAT when Skip retired
Tim Corbin - was an assistant coach at Clemson when Skip retired

So, unless we somehow had hired one of those guys, I guess any coach would be viewed as a failure?

You don’t think a coach that has been coaching for 40 years and is just finishing up his career at the position you are looking to fill would have a good idea of the type of person you need to fill the spot? Nor that he has connections all over the sport to give you good insight on said people?

Definitely smarter than you two jerk offs. Skip Bertman set the standard. LSU is supposed to be the standard. What Paul Manieri did was underachieve. With the squads that have been through in his tenure, he should have 4 national championships. That's your opinion if you think he did a good job. Not fact. I'm not disputing his national seeds and CWS births. It's okay that you accept wasting the best recruiting class year in and year out, and not developing them, and keeping Allen fricking dunn around as pitching coach.

well, we haven't had the best recruiting class year in and year out. Vanderbilt has. Vandy is only in their 5th CWS appearance with Corbin. Has he wasted all their talent too? Had LSU won the title series against Florida, he'd have had the best resume of any active college baseball coach this year.

He was trying to get O'Connor over here so no I don't think he should have any influence on our hire.

But he didn't. And why? Because he had Allen Dunn as his pitching coach. You can't justify that. He was too spineless to make the decisions that needed to be made.
