There is nothing so uncommon as common sense.
All decisions come from a mixture of knowledge, intelligence and experience. What might seem apparent to the outsider isn't always so because he doesn't have the insider information.Intelligence also isn't as easy to gauge. Experience is the critical factor. It's easy for the barstool coach or arm chair general to pontificate. Not having had the experience betrays one as just another wannabee flapping his guns. 20/20 hindsight is pretty worthless. Directing the battle never having smelled gunpowder like coaching from the front of your television set is the realm of the fool.
Surely your vast successful coaching experience has taught you all of this.
Worse even is the inability to walk away from a disappointment with one's head held high. Sobbing in the dark, shaking's ones fist at the heavens or constantly reliving the event is a useless enterprise conducted by fools.
