The old design was slightly worse. Whoever is in charge of the master plan for the university really sucks. They need to stop letting buildings be built that do not fit with the design style of the original master plan of the campus. The new building makes a weak attempt to address this by putting a facade on the original PFT design.

LSU School of Architecture used to be one of the best in the US. WTF is with these guys now?

Who the frick is Patrick Taylor ?

A native of Beaumont, Texas, Patrick F. Taylor earned a petroleum engineering degree from Louisiana State University in 1959, after graduating from the Kinkaid School in Houston, which he attended on a scholarship. He received his education at LSU for free, enabling the ambitious young Texan to pursue his dream of working in the oil fields.

He founded the Taylor Energy Company in New Orleans in 1979, which became the only solely owned independent company to explore for and produce oil and gas in the Gulf of Mexico.

It was eventually named as one of the top 100 private employers in New Orleans, La., due to Mr. Taylor’s practice of hiring and contracting with Louisiana companies.

Mr. Taylor, founder of the Tuition Opportunity Program for Students (TOPS), the state-funded program that provides college tuition assistance to thousands of
undergraduate students enrolled in state institutions of higher education in Louisiana each year.

I remember when CEBA was new....

And I remember when Tureaud Hall was new. Before it was named as such, it was just simply referred to as "Classroom Building". This was very confusing for me as a young freshman.

Me to friend: Where is your 10:30 Speech class?

Friend: It's in the Classroom Building

Me: Uhhh...aren't they ALL "classroom buildings"??

It’s over by LSU lakes right? There’s a sign that says it’s a research building.

It's on the corner of CEBA Ln. and Nicholson Dr. Extension. ETA: It's at C on that map.
