#2 ain't bad

Rolling the objective and subjective together, the art and the science, what my gut told me and what the eye test told me, I sent in the ballot this way:

1. Robert Griffin III
2. Tyrann Mathieu
3. Andrew Luck

This kind of blows Bama fans arguments for TR vs Ball out the window.

Yes, but because he's from Bama, he gets consideration.

Glad to see they are getting the award back to its true purpose.

When Berwanger won it in the first year it was awrded, they called him a "one-man-gang", being head & shoulders a better playmaker than his contemporaries.

Only Griffin & Mathieu fit this description, and are being recognized as such.

Over the last 15 years, the Heisman has been given to "The Most Visible Player on a Title Contending team". Twenty-five years ago, that kind of non-sense would have eliminated Bo Jackson & his 8-4 team while the Heisman went to either Brian Bozworth of #1 Oklahoma or Mike Hammerstein of #2 Michigan.

you were beating this drum on the MSB, you look like an irrational homer. TR had 180 Total yds vs LSU , that's a good game.

Want to argue against him, stick with the #of top ranked D's he played or something like that.

I certainly wouldn't consider TM7 as a front runner, but with the race as wide open as it is, I could see a lot of voters placing him at #2 or #3 because of the apples to oranges comparison to the other 4 nominees.
My guess is that TM7 will appear on more ballots tnan anyone else, or maybe 2nd to RG3.

stiffarmtrophy puts TM7 5th. I'm hoping for the Bednarik.

With all due respect to RGIII, he doesn't play in the SEC. According to their standards, we are the best conference in the nation. TM7 has changed games for the Tigers this season. He deserves it.

Most insecure fanbase in America. If some Gump doesn't think someone is kissing their arse enough they wet their pants or burst into tears.
