The coaches rotate guys in constantly. You rarely see a full lineup change to second/third teamers until very late. Personally, I like it better when they put young guys in with the starters. It allows them to learn while not having the entire field be inexperienced players.

The one exception is QB, but I expect Harris to get some quality reps in the second half.

LOL. Les' teams don't blow out inferior opponents like this. We usually let them hang around waaaay too long.

It must've hurt you to see the tigers pull out that win saturday.

Good Lord, how many 3 and 4 year starters has LSU ever had recently...get real. V Alexander, Collins, Kwon,
Mills, and Louis is the only answer I can give. Hunter, Rasco, J Collins, Neighbors, Hilliard, Dickson, Debo and Magee have played in the far majority of games. And people, this is a bunch.

Quite a dropoff after 2009.....and it sure as hell isn't because the schedule has gotten tougher there slick.

I bet you're wrong. We will probably use this as live practice for our passing game. Not like we've got it down just yet.

this gets said every year for these games and we never see it

SHSU is a fast play spread team looking to catch LSU offguard. if they approach this game sleep walking, don't be surprised if SHSU puts up some points in the first half.

They could and still cruise to an easy win.

But why the frick would they do something like that?

Haven't seen anything that silly since last watching a Monty Python classic.

why would LSU want to run the ball and shorten the game?

have you paid attention to les miles coached LSU teams in the last few years?

if you're looking for an aerial attack with 30 passes thrown, don't hold your breath

The "dropoff" you saw was after 2008 not 2009. The fact is that we averaged 4.5 blowouts per year before 2009 and 4.0 since then. It's a 20% dropoff. Big whoop.

That's something LSU would want to do vs Auburn or A&M, teams that depend on pace. Not these guys.

As a matter of fact I have. I think he's learned to defer to assistants more, and CC probably isn't interesting in grinding out a win over this cupcake via mostly the running game. He'll want to get the passing game plenty of reps.

Neal was in on at least a couple of series in the 2Q. Bower was in for several series during the game. I would expect to see these two out there again on Saturday.

2009:
Tulane 28-0 going into the 4th, finished 42-0
ULL 24-3 going into the 4th, finished 31-3
Auburn 31-3 going into the 4th, finished 31-10

2010:
ULM 44-0 going into the 4th, finished 51-0

2011:
W Kentucky 28-9 going into the 4th, finished 42-9
NW St 42-3 going into the 4th, finished 49-3
UGA 28-10 going into the 4th, finished 42-10
Ole Miss 49-3 going into the 4th, finished 52-3
Auburn 42-3 going into the 4th, finished 45-10
Tennessee 24-7 going into the 4th, finished 38-7
UF 27-11 going into the 4th, finished 41-11

2012:
North Texas 27-7 going into the 4th, finished 41-14
Idaho 49-14 going into the 4th, finished 63-14
Washington 34-3 going into the 4th, finished 41-3

2013:

UAB 56-17 going into the 4th, finished 56-17
TAMU 31-10 going into the 4th, finished 34-10

There were some SEC opponents that we were up 14 and 16 points going into the fourth, but that's not exactly game over.

ETA: We were up 30-13 against Oregon and 30-10 against UNC going into the 4th, but they scored enough in the fourth to make it seem closer.
