don't blame it on the JJ effect
Who put you in charge? The offense did not look the same today as it did in the previous 4 games of 2011. Tell me what changed this week?

Gonzales needs to pack his bags
However said this is spot on. He is everything to our wideouts that Crowton has been accused of with our QB's. Regressing. Bad routes, drops, and generally don't block worth a crap. What else is there for a WR position coach to work on?

JL passing has digressed and don't blame it on the JJ effect. This is our Achilles heal against FL/Bama.
And yet he still looked better than JJ did all of last year with the exception of A&M.

Seemed like there were tons of passes that were dropped that should have been receptions and several that were just bad passes...not sure why our WRs can't seem to catch passes that hit them in the hands.
Also, seemed like the offense was alittle restrained.
FWIW....My observations were from the game, maybe it will look different on replay

Do you really think every pass is SUPPOSED to hit the receiver in the numbers
Oh, come on, bro. By "in the numbers" I meant on target, i.e., in stride. FACT: when receivers are open, as was the case with OBJ TD reception and a few other either overthrown or underthrown balls, there's no reason for the receiver to have to elevate to make the catch. That's not me bitching about a TD, it was a great reception and an even better run after the catch, but I think we can all agree it wasn't the best pass Lee threw all night.

Forgive me if
but did the receivers catch any better when JJ was in? I hope there isn't any truth to it, but subconsciously players Could be playing harder for their QB pick. Just saying

4 of those passes would have been picks against UF

There was always talk of receivers playing differently for Rohan than for Booty during that controversy (shocking, this isn't the first), but you sure would hate for any of that to enter into it...this is the thing about upsetting team chemistry I was worried about, and it looked like it was off today, for whatever reason (obviously only on offense)

we have thrown one int all year.

7 dropped passes in the 1st half alone is going to mess with your passing numbers.
Lee did what he's done all year but guys put the ball on the ground.
Totally agree.

Better to have this happen today rather than next week. Other good news is Blue finally got going. That gives us another back that can run inside with power. I expect them to be especially focused next week due to the offensive play, missed opportunities, and mistakes. IMO, this is game where this needed to happen to wake them up.

the CATCHING game looked terrible
this....
had nothing to do with lee...
RS shouldnt have anything thrown to him over 15 yds..

Jefferson did not make one throw, but a substitution penalty on the goal-line occurred with one of the TEs when he went in. So no, the passing game had nothing to do with him in my opinion. It likely had more to do with the offense wanting to pad stats rather than execute plays. It's understandable, but also correctable by getting the team to re-focus on the basics.
Can't give Lee a pass either. Some of those throws into double coverage will need to be corrected before going up against Florida and Alabama or things might get tougher than they need to be.

Yeah, that 51 yard TD pass to OBJ was terrible.
The pass RS pulled in at the sideline..... surprised I didn't break something.
The pass to DP at the sideline.... I couldn't take anymore.
I had to play checkers at that point.

You have to be talking about the majority of dropped passes, right? I mean, that is what you're talking about, RIGHT?
Some people just have to complain. JL could be 17/17, 315 yds, 4 TD passes, 0 int and some people would still complain.

I am worried that our receivers are not getting open. Every one of Lee's throws today (except the one to OBJ) were challenged. The receivers seem to still be the weak link of this team. Randle has not developed as well as I expected. I can't believe that the first long ball that was thown to him, that he stopped and came back to it only to have it go over his head.
I was not a fan of the pass plays that we ran today. I hate to be too critical of play calling in a game like this because the coaches may have known this was going to be an easy win and decided to work on some different types of passes.
But we need higher percentage passing if we are going to be a running team.
But we are not Ole Miss or Kentucky! Geaux Tigers!

We're in the SEC schedule now. I believe the play will be better next week. Also, we were holding back some with Florida coming to town next week. There was some gamesmanship and development going on. I did not like JLee rolling out in the pocket, but I believe it was chosen in this game because the OCs were working on something they felt would soon be needed.

RS can't catch...agreed. JL did fine, receivers dropped passes. How has JL passing digressed? Based on what?

Passing game was inefficient. My concern is that for the second week in a row, we are having to throw early, because our running game is getting stuffed.
