There is no way the defense is in any way satisfied with how they played

Agreed. No defense in FBS would have been satisfied with that performance.

hopefully this will make them very hungry to make an impression at Florida.

If they're capable of doing so, one would certainly hope that they'd be hungry to, particularly after Saturday night.

Who would have thought that, going into the Florida game, we'd be thinking that if the defense could just manage to catch up to the offense, we would be in good shape?

here's what i'm scared of

UF has been in an offensive funk (like AU and MSU)

LSU seems to be the team where teams get out of their offensive funks (like AU and MSU), if only for that game (See: UTenn game for AU where their offense went back to shitting themselves)

that was the indirect point of my thread i made last night

lee is the #2 rated passer in the SEC right now, and he didn't get to play 4 quarters against hawaii

Tennessee 2006 and Alabama 2007.Now,Crompton may have been just going on instinct without time to get worried and nervous after Ainge got hurt in '06 and that Alabama game last year had every story angle possible. Still, teams with so-so offenses did quite well.

Hold the press...I AGREE with SFP!

This is absolutely a trend that I expect to continue under Miles. We are quickly becoming (if not there yet) the closest thing to Spurrier-run-UF in the SEC since. And we all know what a target they had on their backs when we played them.

Less-talented teams will continue to bring it against us - we are hated in circles b/c of our success. For this reason, MS putting up 24 on our defense should be taken with a grain of salt -

Every game is a novel, not a short story. They all play out according to different contributions, i.e., coaching, players, and conditions and situations on the field

The biggest concern with this team, IMO, is the poor tackling. It's been happening all season.
Even against App St., I commented to someone that we were unloading on players like bullets, BUT WE WERE GOING FOR HIGHLIGHT HITS instead of solid tackles.
We had quite a few opportunities to stop drives against MSU if we would have just tackled better.

Not really. Our tackling has been great prior to the MSU game.
