Wrong but I get your point. The center fielder, 3rd baseman, Clark, and a few others would play on other SEC teams. It’s the stagnation the lack of pitching talent, and lack of power hitters. Beth has become stagnant and refuses to make changes.

The only outstanding play is at shortstop....the rest would struggle to start on most sec teams.

You don’t watch too many games do you? The best player on the team is Briggs….BY FAR!!!

Briggs is a good player but not the best player which is AA Taylor Pleasants.... And I have watched almost all their games and not just this year, the last 10 yrs

The drive-by softball “fans” on this board are idiots.

Briggs has everything, great bat, great speed, GREAT arm and great at reading the ball off the bat. Briggs is better at every aspect over Pleasants other than power. Pleasants defense is very questionable at times although has been better the last couple weeks

Torina may get a pass to keep the recruiting class intact, the rest of the staff needs to seek other employment.

Peterson, Redouty, and Newland are all good, young players. Anyone who thinks Georgia Clark wouldn’t be in any other SEC lineup is just a troll.

I think you are wrong, Georgia and LSU are very close overall. Both have one main pitcher with others behind them that at times are capable. Both teams have three very good hitters and a couple behind them that are good. Georgia has played a MUCH easier schedule this year, including in SEC play which has helped their numbers some.

I think back at CF position that Briggs plays and remember the last 3 that played there before her...

We don’t have any Andrews sisters to pull, but that should not disparage Biggs’ play in CF. She’s way more than solid there.

Granted I’ve have not been to any games in a long time due to travel. I do watch almost every game during the regular season unless they are on at the same time as the baseball game then I usually have one on TV and one or my computer with it silenced. I can’t stand watching the antics behind home plate from Mr Super Fan.

Briggs is my favorite player on this years team.

If Beth does her normal postseason—host and win a Regional then lose a Super on the road—she’s safe, for two reasons:

1) The hitting has improved, so Dobson gets another chance and 2) Woodward has a lot on his plate and probably won’t turn his full attention to softball this postseason.

Beth does seem to feel she’s untouchable and owns the job no matter what. Hence, no sense of urgency to recruit elite pitchers and hard-arse warriors overall. She has stood pat on her staff for a decade and they have gotten stale.

It’s been too long since this team has reached OKC and that should be the expectation given the facilities and budget Beth has been given. But Beth can cruise another 2-4 seasons holding serve.

I don’t particularly like it, but that’s the way it is.
