Everyone agrees that his stats will be less. He did prove that he could hit our SEC pitching in the fall of 08. He hit with the 1 group. Enough to warrent Mainieri's saying if he had stayed be would have played alot of 3b. So will he hit .400/.300/.200 who knows. I bet he hits .350 and DH's and plays some in the field. He bat compares to Matook or Hanover.

I wouldn't go as high as .350, but I'd bet he could def hit between .310 and .350

Kyle Koenneman hit .400 over 2 seasons with 50 HR's in JUCO
but its not like all JUCO guys flop.
however Im not ready to insert Rhymes into the lineup over guys that have proven to hit D-1 Pitching (Edwards and Katz mainly)

You are right on! To crack this line-up in the DH spot- you better be able to hit, hit for power, run, run really fast, and be better than atleast 6-7 other great players. A .275 guy will not see much time. Alot of it will be where any of the unproven guys bat in the line-up. I am all about putting your bat to the SEC test and one could also agree that any of the 6-7 players battling will be get there chance. This is what the fall is for and then we get to Gorilla ball the rest of the SEC. Just hope we have the same problems on the bump!
