Damn, by your predictions Bryce Harper would have only batted .250 with 15 dingers.
I don't recall he played for LSU-E.

He played for a juco that plays teams like LSU-E.

He has none. He was drafted first over all in this years MLB draft.

Your making no fricking sense. The kid you are projecting has never played in the SEC either so what's your fricking point?

Switch to de-caf.

My point is I am comparing the stats of two players who have both played at LSU-E and one of them has played a season at LSU.

You are making a comparison to a player who has never played at either.

My comparison is relevant. Yours is not.

Not against SEC pitching, he wasn't.

Against SEC pitching he was 7 for 25 (.280) before he got injured. If the Kansas series is included just prior to the start of the SEC schedule, Watkins was 9 for 35 (.257) prior to being injured.

before injury his obp was still almost 450/500 which is impressive. still its hard to tell what his stats would have been if he played the entire year. the entire thing is speculative, but i had no idea of his juco stats

Interesting Note...LSU-E played San Jacinto JUCO (Division 1 JUCO runner up and beat out Bryce Harper's team in the World Series) in a 3 game series. Raph Rhymes went 7-13 with 1hr,4runs,3rbis,and 3sbs. I know 3 games doesn't mean a whole lot but that's still pretty impressive.

I don't believe he feels he has been guaranteed anything.

this is pretty irrelevant considering he played in 6 games and had only 25 ab's

But not completely irrelevant. It's one of the reasons I also included the Kansas series the weekend before the SEC schedule started since Kansas plays in the Big 12...or whatever the hell that conference is called now.

My point is an impressively high batting average at LSU-E does not equate to even a good batting average at LSU. There is just too big of a difference in pitching quality. Remember, Joey Bourgeois was a star pitcher (12-2 in 15 starts) at LSU-E the same season Trey Watkins hit .418 there.

eh, i think there were more concerns with him...wasnt his ERA up around 6?

Yes, 5.9.

Which points out the weak pitching in that league. The pitcher on a team can have the second best won-lost record of 12-2 and yet have an ERA of 5.9.

The hitting stats in the LSU-E league are highly inflated and won't translate comparably to the SEC.
