Clearly you dont understand what logic means because your comparison of these two things is both illogical and irrelevant.

You bitch a lot. Did you graduate or even attend LSU? Just curious...

Sorry, I did not realize that I had to attend and/or graduate from LSU to be a fan of the hometown team. Oh well, the administration has not had a problem taking my money for the expensive arse tickets yet, so maybe I am in the clear somehow.

I am a fan. Of the program. Always have been, always will be. Like Miles mostly, but he has several brain fart flaws that keep me from being jack-happy about him. If I criticize him when he pulls stupid shite, not yours to say I am not deserving of a winning program.

It's the LSU program I am a fan of. Les Miles can get runover tomorrow by a tequila truck. I will still be a fan of the program - and deserving of a winning program. My passion, money and sheepskin (or any one of the above) give me that right.

Exactly the response I expected. It's clearly the same fricking thing. I love America as much as I love LSU but may not be a fan of a certain President. Doesn't mean I'm moving to fricking Russia or China.
Got it.

You dont. This is an old debate, especially on the Rant.

I'd just like people to acknowledge that, as an Alumni, I might have a little more vested interest in the team.

The difference is that Obama (for instance) has an awful record as president. Les Miles has had the most successful tenure in LSU history. If you cant be happy about LSU's status on the national stage because of Sabans dong being in your mouth then be a fricking bama fan. HE'S NOT COMING BACK EVER.

bullshite. Know many alumni who could care less and are not vested in rabid LSU football fandom.

Get over yourself.

I hate to break it to you but if Miles ever leaves Saban will be back in Baton Rouge.

I'm really beginning to question the validity of your claim to an undergrad and a postgrad degree from Camp LSU when you make statements like this. Read these words and say them to yourself audibly: NICK SABAN AIN'T COMING BACK.

these aren't really 'fans'

their kids who are spoiled.

No true fan that used to sit in Tiger Stadium and watch Florida and etc beat us down every year would post things like that.

With greater expectations comes more frustration when things don't work out; because they are so close. However, there's no question that we can be a little on the unrealistic side with what is expected.

However, it is still important to distinguish between one alumnus and a stadium full of alumni. Never say, “I am an alumni” if you don’t want to cast discredit on your school.
I am an alumnus too.

DANG I HATE THIS WHINER CRAP! Our fans are no worse than every other top tier program!! I like Les but he has done things that are just maddening! Every other fan base everywhere would react the same way.

Bull shite. Many Obama supporters argue the economy has gotten better, we got Bin Laden, etc. it's all sobjective. I'm personally not an Obama fan at all but I still love America.

There will always be Presidents people don't like. No one will ever have 100% approval rating. Doesn't make them any less American when they bitch just as I have the right to bitch about Miles.
