If he's prescribed to adderall for school it is legal. Does he say he wasn't prescribed?

Oh please...enlighten us then.

i took adderall throughout high school, college, and law school (was prescribed). it's not even worth the time to try to convince people otherwise ITT, as people have been running around in circles for hours. but i'll say one thing, i found it more of a deterrent to my athletic performance when i still played sports and wouldn't take it, if i could avoid it, on the day i had games. for the people who think it's no different than cocaine, go home, you're drunk. while they have some of the same properties, all amphetamines are not the same drug. might as well say it's the same as crystal meth and ecstasy.

Please tell me how.

You obviously don't read very much about sports medicine. There are many articles on it if you'd bother to read them.

Adderall does help a pitcher with focus and energy. It is banned as per NCAA. But they are not recognizing the testing done by MLB.

I guess that you've read all of them, but still can't give a one paragraph annotation based off of them.

Exactly, adderal is for kids who need to study or people that don't belong in college. If it was a PED I would have been LSU's starting QB in 2000.

I don't understand. The Adderall was not prescribed. Said so on ESPN bottom line. If it is an NCAA violation, why are they not retesting him? Seems he should be in trouble for this

I found an article in simple terms you may be able to comprehend. Adderall is getting to be a big problem in pro sports. Increasing the ability to concentrate in high stress situations is most helpful to these guys.

Honestly, it makes the NCAA look like shite...

I mean, the NCAA is not 'honoring' the test because MLB administered it.

How fricking stupid is that?

I am a pharmacist, adderall is straight amphetamine salt. It enhances your performance. If he does not have a prescription, he is in possession of a schedule II drug without a prescription, even if it is in his blood stream, he could be arrested for possession. Oklahoma should suspend him.

Those are the effects that it has on a normal person in an non-athletic state.

Have they performed studies on individuals who are performing a sport while on adderall to determine the effects?

You're the worst pharmacist ever then, don't buy into your governments rules. You know very well that stuff is harmless for healthy 21 year olds. And you know very well it doesn't add 5 mph to a fastball. Kid throws mid nineties you can't teach or drug that.
