OTB: Ed O interview 5/18

Typing as I listen. As always any corrections please let me know!
-Made it through the storms. Most coaches at work and made it ok.
-Returning players report next Monday.
Freshman Talk
- Freshman are coming on Saturday getting into dorms.
-Sunday night meeting with freshman to set expectations and discuss rules and how we do things as Tigers
-Monday afternoon will be their first football school and working out with Coach Moffitt. Football school, Moffit school and then actual school
-Tuesday 6am condition test for the whole team. Guys that went home have been working out.
-First time seeing some freshman face to face because of Covid and zoom calls recruiting last year.
-Refocus on player/coach relationship and family atmosphere. Coaches will be at the dorms welcoming the new guys into the program.
-LSU standard of performance. Two rules be early how are we goin to handle yourself.
-Sitting in the first three rows in their classrooms. Get started on the right foot everyday. How you treat others and how you dress.
-Summertime is where you get closest with your teammates because coaches aren't always around. Some guys live off campus so leadership has to get them together.
-No complaints about "Ray Baker' and have to come through it together.
Returners
-Players that have stepped up un leadership roles on Monday. Myles, Deculus, Shanahan Ed Ingram were all the leaders along with Jaray and Max.
-Competition between Myles and Max will be intense. Max is a quiet leader and does by example.
-Very happy about the return of the d-lineman.
-Stingley as one of the best to ever wear the purple and gold

-Talking about McNeese and Coach Wilson and the wonderful job that he's doing there.
-Game planning for UCLA was last week this week is Mississippi State and so forth. Monday-Thursday to have preliminary game plane
-Trying to get whole team vaccinated and that we're back at 100% by the time fall comes. We need Tiger Stadium full.
-Night game for UCLA announced O "We will play anyplace anytime anywhere per 0. Team will go Thursday instead of Friday.
