Unfortunately I have to agree with you. I'm afraid that all this talk from Orgeron is nothing more than a known snake oil salesman selling his same old snake oil. I would love to be wrong but I seriously don't think I am!

and lets Brady do his thing

And what exactly is "his thing"? Because he's never held a full-time college position before, and his only experience on offense is under an All-pro QB, which makes anyone looks good in that situation.

I hope it finally changes but who knows when that will be. Maybe it's this year and it's Joe Brady but we seen this play before so excuse us for being skeptical.
Such a snowflake mentality. Your egos are so fragile that you refuse to get your hopes up and risk being disappointed again. You envy the optimists and how much fun they are having so your only hope is that the team fails so at least in the end you can be right.

Its true, we will not know for sure until we see it. We may end up being disappointed. But if you look at all of the current evidence objectively rather than dwelling on the past, it is a much better bet that our offense will be different this year than the same, and the doubters will look sort of dumb in retrospect.

It will be OK either way. If the offense does improve, the skeptics and negatigers will be happy too and only regret that they missed the bandwagon. If the offense is the same, it will be surprising and disappointing AGAIN, but life will go on.

By current objective evidence, do you mean a sound bite from Orgeron should outweigh actual results spanning 30 games or so?

I look at our current coaching staff (mainly the hiring of Brady), what we have seen so far from practices, what we saw in the spring game, who we have returning this year giving us depth and experience and who we are adding with last years recruiting class, what the current players are saying whenever they are interviewed, our current recruiting class that is stacked with with offensive specialists and what they are saying about why they are excited to come to LSU, what many scouts and analysts that follow LSU and have attended practices are saying, and yes what O is saying differently from what he has said in the past.

Yes I weigh that heavier than what happened 30 games ago.

What evidence?

Is it your belief that we've been running the same offense for years?

“ what O is saying differently from what he has said in the past”

Coach O referred to Canada basically as an offensive genius when he hired him. Coach O told us that Coach E had done a “great” job in 2018. He made that statement even though coach E’s 2018 offense was less productive than Cam’s 2015 offense.

Even though I believe our offense will be better this coming year simply because of Joe’s being in his second year, I’m going to wait and see what develops before I make any claims as to how the 2019 offense will turn out.

It's actually comical at this point. Anyone with even half a brain can see the major changes going on with the offense, and the overall positive momentum in the program. Lsu just finished #6 in the nation, will be preseason top 10 with very high expectations, have the #1 class as of now, and finally have experience returning on BOTH sides of the ball, with a damn good qb. At this point, that group that continues to bash O and refuses to acknowledge the positives, is simply making themselves look absolutely stupid. They either have an agenda on this board, or are legitimately stupid.

Thanks to the A&M game it wasn’t in the 100’s

I'd say they did a pretty damn good job with the massive problems on the OL, zero returning offensive production, a QB that was barely on campus, a new OC, and new Ol coach. They came on strong the last few games and are poised to have a really good offense this year. Hell, I read somewhere where they scored more points in league play than every team in the West but BAMA. Haven't looked that up.

We didn't accumulate enough yards in the OT to move from the 100s to the 50's.

The OT moved us up 6 whole slots.

Makes me think it's cultural. It makes sense since Louisianians don't like change, live in the past and prefer things to be simple

This. People always talk about how they want to see more passing, more shotgun, whatever. I just want to see a prolific offense that keeps the defense on its heels.

This. I don't get the infatuation with specific offenses. If it's producing and winning, I really don't care what it is.

We've run what, three different offenses under the coach here?

We ran Cameron's offense with Ensminger calling the plays, we've run Canada's offense, and we ran Ensminger's offense last season. The combined results have been underwhelming.

“See the major changes going on with the offense”

We heard the exact same thing said at this time of year in 2017. We were told in 2018 that because Coach O and coach E work so well together and are on the same page, our offense would flourish Both of those years produced an offense that wasn’t any different, result wise, than the offense produced in 2015. In fact, cams offense was more productive.

That’s not making up things or hating on anyone, that simply been the reality. While I do believe that the offense should improve this season, I can understand the reservations some night have.

I suggest that those who want to be super hyped, be super hyped. Those who want to take a more conservative approach, should do so.

I don’t understand the big need for all of us to feel exactly the same way. I don’t recall that ever happening before on the rent in my years here. So, what’s the big deal?
